SOURCE: Need to smog my 1977

Hello
We don't have the diagrams for anything that old. I am a retired smog tech and you can get the diagrams from any smog station if you ask nice, they have the hose diagrams back to 1974 which is the last year that needs emission testing in Calif. You can also find the diagrams at some public libraries. If you are unsuccessful you can purchase a 1 year subscription to a site that has all the factory manuals and diagrams, it costs about $26.00 and it is called www.alldatadiy.com

Intake hose on egr valve had antifreeze in it

not a good sign. which engine, 8valve or 16v? MATTERS BIG TIME.
do you run 50% Antifreeze (AF) or just hope it dont freeze and crack the head.? (anything with AF in it can crack, anypart)
the EGR has only 3 ports.
1 is vacuum
the other 2 are exhaust.
my guess is that you removed egr, (you forgot to say)
and the black carbon ports , in valve dripped green AF.
right?
that means the intake manifold is cracked, and AF is pouring
in to there, or the head is cracked.
end story.
if the vacuum hose (you didnt say ) is full of AF, that is near impossible. its a very tiny hose.
use this page to find the correct part, and say where it leaks exactly
or post photo of object.
8v or 16V?
the 8v EGR is below the TBI
the 16v is at the rear (MPI) intake manifold very hard to get to.
http://www.fixkick.com/find-parts.html

ill take a wild guess.?
and its 8 valve engine.
part #1 EGR leaks
or was it REALLY the ISC?
the ISC has 3 hoses, not 1, , one is air, 2 are AF (water)
http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/8v-sensors.JPG

post back and we can do other tests. like compression test
or radiator leak down test. (fumes test)(

I replaced the head gakets on my 84 Bronco II put all back together. It will start, pumping on the accelarator but it will die.Could it bet the distributor is off its mark?

Don't have anything to add to what your said

Seems you know what your doing

Recheck your work

If it won't idle, then maybe you have a vacuum leak
& that effects venturi vacuum & you don't get enough
fuel drawn in

Somebody has completely removed All vacuum hoses on my girlfrnds 2002 pontiac grand am v-6 & I need to know where they all go???

There should be a basic diagram under the hood. Many shop manuals don't have much better. Your best bet might be to call around to junkyards, see if they have one, and go in the yard and look. They are pretty good about that if you just buy something like a cigarette lighter or something. Basically brakes get full vacuum, PCV valve is next, then the A/C ductwork is smaller and shares with the charcoal canister. There should be no leaks. Brakes and PCV are the important ones the rest plug the leaks and go from there.

Vacuum hoses for a 1989 Amigo

You can go to autozone.com and register for full free online repair manual. Register, login, choose year, make, mode, and view repair guide. They have your vaccum diagram. There should also be one on the hood itself.
