96 Jeep Cherokee stall then hard/no start

I just started having this problem within the past week while I was driving my Jeep, I was accelerating to 45 mph where the engine started to sputter then die. I managed to restart it by putting it in neutral each time. This happened about 3 times on my way home. This was the first occurrence and occurred when it was about 20 F outside at night. MIL came on, have not check codes yet. This was not the first time the car had been started up that day.

The car sat for two days. I then tested it for problems and could not recreate the issue. Filled up with gas and washed Jeep. Ran errands starting Jeep multiple times. No stalling and easy start. Temp was around 45 F.

The next night drove car about 2 miles, sat for 2 hours, then upon start-up it stalled within about 1 min. Temp was right around freezing. Struggled to get Jeep the 2 miles home, multiple stalls, and points of no start unless Jeep sat for a couple of minutes. Upon starting up, I limped the Jeep home by riding the accelerator pretty hard while on the brakes taking it in and out of drive.

Again, car sat overnight, then started right up the next day. Temp was around 45 F. Drove fine, shut down. Returned 30 mins later and stalled soon after starting. Took apart air intake down to throttle body, clean off throttle body and visually inspected throttle body electrical connections. All good. Managed to start with intake hoses off, put hose on and stalled. Would not start after this point even with taking hose off.

Started up again today, temp 62 F ran for 30 minutes without problems to charge battery up a little. Did not attempt to restart.

The Jeep has had new spark plugs put in within the past 5,000 mile, it has a new fuel filter installed within the last 3,000 miles, also just had thermostat switch replaced. Visual inspection of fuel relay shows little/no corrosion, which was cleaned off. Full take of gas. Can hear fuel line pressurize just prior to starting.

Jeep is currently at college and only driven about 4 miles a day during the week. I take it out on weekends to drive and charge the battery by running it. Battery is old but still seems to hold strong charge; did not struggle to crank engine.

My current thoughts on what it could be are: ideal air control, or the air temp sensor near the throttle body.
