How do i get the radiator out of my 2001 ford taurus?

Hi Brandon, I'm glad to help!
Brandon, after you remove the upper and lower hoses to the radiator and remove the condensor from the radiator. NOTE: Raise the vehicle and put it on safety stands. You will need to raise it as high as possible. NOW, from under the vehicle take off the 2 brackets that hold the radiator and drop the radiator downward and out of the vehicle, sound odd I know but yes the radiator comes out from under the vehicle. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Brandon.

How to remove the radiator from the 1999 rav4, i tried to do it myself but found problems getting it out. Please help me out .

you should have 2 bolts holding the top that are in a rubber washer , the bottom just has glide points that slide into a sleeve, I know on a earlier model that there is a cover plate with 3 #10 small bolts that cover the 2 you need to remove to get the radiator out,, remove the upper and lower hoses first , then take the hold down bolts out of the top, it should slide up to remove

I need to change my radiator in my 98 jeep Cherokee. Can I change it myself or do I need to take it some where? I don't know how hard it is.

It's not difficult, but before you do you might invest $15 and buy service manual. Autozone, Advance, any good parts stores carry Haynes or Clymers manuals. Both give great step by step and tools needed to do the job correctly.

Need to know how to replace thermostat

Hi: You'll first want to Drain your Radiator take your radiator cap off so when drain it the coolant will drain freely. Then Drain your raditor you'll find a Drain Tee outlet on the inside bottom of your radiator. And catch the Coolant in a Drain Pan. Standing in Front of your Vehicle you'll see a Hose connected to your Radiator(UPPER RADIATOR HOSE) take your Hand and follow it down to your Engine until you locat a Hose Clamp Remove the hose clamp and work off the top Radiator Hose.Where you removed the hose theres a Dome Shaped Metal Housing, with 2 bolts in it. Take those 2-Bolts out and Remove the Dome Thermastat Housing,Under it You'll Find your Thermostat it shuold come out with a little Resistance. Once its out, Clean Up The Thermastat Dome of any Gasket still left on it, and clean where you remove the Thermastat Surface. To put back just Reverse the Removal Be-sure your Thermastat is put in right and not up side down. Then get some Gasket Sealer Put a Little on the Thermastat Housing where gasket goes and some on the Enging surface and Install your New Thermastat,Be careful when Tightening the 2-Bolts on The Housing. not to Over tighten them. The torque Specs on the 2 bolts range between 10- 15 Foot pounds. You don't want to Strip,
After you get your New Thermastat in and your Radiator Hose on and Clamped.Make Sure you have closed the Drain outlet. then fill with coolant,if your coolant is old i recommend putting new coolant in. I hope this helps You.I;m Sure it Will, But please let me Know through FIXYA by Voting and a Testamony. This way I'll know that my solution was Helpful. Thanks From d_hubbs

What is the correct procedure to replace a radiator on 1986 mercedes 420 sel?

Ahh. These are very easy to do. 1. Drain the sytem througn either the petcock on the bottom of the radiator or just removing the lower hose 2. remove the outer shroud by spinning the round part of the housing until it unlocks(about 1 inch rotation)push the shroud forward over the fan and leave there 3. remove the inner shroud by removing the 2 metal side clips(with a screwdriver usually)and pull up 4. remove the 2 transmission cooler lines underneath(either 17 or 19mm) 5. remove the 2 radiator hoses. 6. remove the 2 metal clips on top of the radiator. That's it!! Put in your new radiator. Make sure you turn the heater on while you are filling the system so it help to bleed the entire system. I love these 126 body cars. Let me know if you need anything else!

Replacing the radiator system for nissan altima 1998

Drain coolant from the cooling system. White plastic drain plug in bottom of radiator.

take off bottom rad. hose and top rad hose.

All wrenches and sockets are either 10 or 12 mm. Remove air shroud from around radiator and fan.
Sometimes its easier to remove fan too.

If its an automatic, remove 2 rubber hoses at bottom of rad.

remove 4 bolts top and bottom that hold rad. in place.

reverse order of parts. Fill with coolant and check for leaks.

That is the basics of it.
