How do I remove damaged bumper from 1999 Honda CR-V?

I've recently bought a new bumper for a '99 Honda CR-V and have removed 8-10 screw-washer combo's and a couple of hex-type bolts from the old bumper. I also tried to unscrew the center piece (right above the nose of the bumper) that sits between the lights and the bumper still won't budge after removing a couple of screws in that as well. Can anyone give me some hints on how to remove the bumper? Thanks!

When you raise the hood, look for a Phillips screw that holds the parking lamp in. if it is there remove screw and pull parking lamp toward front of vehicle. If headlamp and side lamp are 1 piece, there should be 2 number 10 mm headed bolts that are vertical, that hold the assembly in. The side lamp will have a stud that holds the light to the fender. You may have to pry it loose. Reverse procedure to install.

Yes, there is a "spear point" plastic clip that is still engaged into a socket type holder in the front outboard portion of the tail lamp assembly. Pry gently with a tape wrapped screwdriver at the front outboard corner of the assembly and the clip will release. You will then be able to see how the clip works and will be able to align and engage it first when replacing the tail lamp assembly.

Yup after removing the 2 screws, there is a round plastic tap.
you need to pop the light housing back and outward with a flat screwdriver. wrapped electrical tape on the flat end to avoid scratching the paint.

How do i replace d4 gear indicator light inmy 1998 honda cr-v

I have a 99 CRV and I would think it would be the same. Sitting in the drivers seat remove the two screws at the top of the gauge cluster. Pull out on the top of the cover with some force and the clips that hold the bottom of the cover will release. Now remove the screws holding the gauge cluster, two top and two bottom. Pull straight out a few inches so you can turn to the side and remove the wire plugs on the back, be careful not to damage the wires. With the cluster removed there is a white box on the back that needs a small flat blade to remove. Once removed the small lamps can be replaced. Tools needed are a Philips and a small flat blade screwdriver

Headlamp

Yes, you have to remove the front bumper fascia, it is not as difficult as it seems, lowering the fascia will reveal the two or three bottom screws for the headlight assembly. Also take out the inner plastic fender ( 3 or 4 self locking plastic plugs) if you need to reach the connector for the turn signal bulb.

Headlight unit removal from a honda crv

You can do it alone, just remove the bumper, there should be a bolt and nut there and somewhere near the fender. The lamp will be free then.

Remove lower rear trim beneath tailgate

Easy. First you need to remove the rear splash guards(the plastic pieces located near the tires)
After that, it should be about 6 bolts/clips and they are located in plain view just standing facing the bumper. Then the bumper pulls right out.

Good luck

How to change the whole headlight assembly on a 05 Honda CRV

You have to remove the front bumper and grill etc

There are 5 bolts holding the headlight assembly in place. 2 at the top and 3 underneath.

Remove the plastic cross piece by prising out the clips and then the grille clips too then unbolt the bolts eithr side under the wheel arch. The bumper is still fastened using cips. Pull the bumper forward to unclip.

99 Plymouth Voyager Rear Bumper

If you look up from under you should see some push clips. if your removing entire bumper with rebar & all, it's probably about 4 nuts holding it to bumper shocks, but be sure to look near ends at fenders for push clips , and or screws, and across mid section. watch it, it's pretty heavy with the rebar attached so make sure you have everything ready & remove nuts last, with some help to hold it up.
