SOURCE: i need to erase my compter for a 2004 jeep liberty

You can disconnect the battery for a few minutes generally reset's the computer but you also lose your clock and radio setting. Just make sure you turn your radio off first before you do it so you don't lock out your radio and have to reactivate it with a code. Normally the computer will reset it self if the issues had been addressed and there is no other problems, or you can have it reset by a scanner. You can try this, it works on most dodge. If the problem has been resolved, start the engine and drive the liberty forward then reverse (you only have to do this a few feet) then turn the ignition off. Do this three times and on the forth time you start the engine, the check engine light should go out. Good luck and hope this helps.

SOURCE: 2004 jeep liberty electrical problems maybe

you have a short somewhere in the cigarette lighter. Most likely the socket itself, but possibly behind the dash somewhere. The radios in the Jeeps ****, and most likely just a bad radio. The door lock either has a bad actuator, or bad wiring in the door jamb. Remove the panel and see if you are getting power to the actuator. If so, you need it, if not check the wiring.

SOURCE: are the 3.7 liter jeep liberty known for head

any vehicle can have any component fail at anytime. The only way to know is to have it inspected for the correct diagnosis if your experiencing problems. If you want a second opinion because you don't trust the first one then your only going to get that at a repair shop.

2004 Jeep Liberty. No Start. Does anyone have any ideas?

That is a whole lot of issues that needs an auto electrician and a pro grade scan tool computer. We have a pro electrician here @Jeff Armer and hopefully he will chime in. Sounds like a communication issue with BCM and ECM which I think is combined into a TIPM.

My 2005 Jeep liberty horn blows for no reason last night at 3 am it went off and the only way i could get it to stop was disconnect batt

double posted. wow.
when it beeped, did you look in the display (RPM)
it tells you why?? the VFD or EVIC tells you why.? (rpm dial)
do you park with the alarm on , on the street or a garage?????
if in a garage park and turn alarm off. it does turn off the alarm.
did you bump the panic button?
eg its under your pillow?? LOL or the cat chewed it?
read your other post, it's got lots of answer there.
to find cause.
if the horns stays off, if alarm is off then its not the horn button.

as many will say. there are 4 things that run the horn.
button horn
alarm
door locks.
panic.(part of alarm but not totally)
on my car, i have most themn turned off, like the lamp flashings.
and the horn chirp is off on all my cars, all i get is the door lock click sounds, nice (neighbor friendly)
so turn all all that and see if the horn still fails.

that panic button can fail,
if mind did id pull the fob battery and then use FOB 2.
to see of the FOB fails.

your other post said driving
this one says, parked. 3am clue.

My alarm does not make any sound, the hazards flash though on my 2005 jeep Cherokee Liberty

If it did ever work for you, then the problem should be the horn itself, the wiring to the horn, or the sensor/computer that tells the horn to blow.
Otherwise, the whole system may be defective.
God bless your efforts.

Horn does not work jeep liberty

The likely cause of this is a defective rotating printed circuit coiled contact under the steering wheel, it is referred to as the "clock-spring" contact coil. To replace it requires the very dangerous airbag system be disarmed and the steering wheel removed, it is directly under the wheel. Before replacing any parts have the problem diagnosed to confirmed my guess work.

My horn went off and would not turn off on my 2005 Jeep Liberty. The remote key won't work and the engine will not work with my key

Your alarm has been set off, once this happens the engine can not be started until the alarm is clear. It pretty much disables your ability to drive the car just in case it would be stolen. The dealer will need to check out to see if the alarm malfunctioned or ? what caused it to go off.

Where is the horn located at in a 2006 Jeep Liberty and how do you disconnect it?

Your horn is mounted to the radiator core support, behind the grill, infront of the radiator. The horns have an electrical plug that can be disconnected.
