Try using the door key to lock and un lock the drivers door. Pulling the fuse for the security system will guarantee the engine will never start.

it may not be your ignition switch. i have the same car, same prob.. i just replaced the ignition switch n still nothing.. it may be the ignition cylinder.? but it may very well be electrical. hard to say because im still stumped myself. if u have the steering wheel that moves up and down its likely the wires in the ignition cylinder snapped, but if u have to get a new one its goin to have to be from a dealership which means $$$..

What you need to do there is to turn the ignition switch on and off three times, leaving it on the third time. Leave it on for about fifteen or twenty minutes and the light should become steady. then you can start the engine. (I usually put a jumper battery on it to make sure it does not knock down the battery too far) If that fails to work, then the problem likely is in the switch or the security module.

You might have to reset the security system on your car. It will tell you how to do this in your owners manual.

The security system (VATS/PassKey) is having problems, it's typical on those cars. You can find a great write-up here: http://newrockies.ca , it was the only thing that saved my Park Avenue.

your key reader is not reading the chip in your key you can either replace the ignition switch cost about 250 dollars parts and labor or i can tell you how to bypass it for less than 20 bucks in premium chat hope this helps
