2003 passat wagon rear window washer leaks

My 2003 Passat wagon rear window washer is leaking somewhere inside the the deck lid. Found out about it when I went to put some bags in the rear cargo deck and was greeted by a washer fluid shower. I have no idea how to pull the trim off. As always, my dealer wants a small fortune to just look at it.

Hi
I have had this problem as well as many others with the passat Solved it as follows
First take out 2 philips screws inside the pull down hand grips ( hidden by covers) and 2 by the rear window surround
Then pull the rear panel of it is secure by metal clips, a 3 foot length of 2x1 timber with an angled ends helps to release the ones nearest the window
The washer pipe just pushes on the back of the wiper assembly
The most common reason it comes off is because of not using sufficient anti freeze additive in the washer water, inside the washer motor drive spindle is a small brass pipe which freezes in cold weathe and when you use washer the pressure pushes the pipe off
It an other one of volkswagens stupid designs a long with putting all the vunerable electronics in a box in the footwell which then floods when the drain under the battery gets blocked with debris!!!!

You ought to buy an American/French or Italian car. Then you'll see some 'stupid designs'

Water keeps filling up under passenger seat in rear of car

My 2001 passat did the same thing. my leak was coming from the door panel. Open your door and use a water hose to simulate rain water running against your window. Water should run into door and drain out of several drain holes at the very bottom of your door. Check for water leaking from the bottom of your plastic door panel. The water runs down into the door and leaks through your inner door panel seal causing water to leak inside from the bottom of your door panel and run into the floorboard instead of draining out the water hole in the bottom of your door.
