Dealer said they have to pull the dash to access the rear of the instrument panel to replace the odometer lamp. I currently have to either use a flashlight or be in bright sunlight to see the odometer. All the other dash lights work for now.

There will be a fuse for you dash lights and they are just light bulbs in the back. Is it just your odometer light that went out or the whole dash cluster? In all likeliness it's probably just the bulb that burned out.

They pull off just like any other vehicle, unless you live in an area where they use salt. Brake and suspension parts on these rust and sieze quickly. Soak with penetrating oil and keep tapping around perimiter. I do this for a living, and I've had Torrent drums take me hours to break loose (I'm surprised the wheels even came off)

I just replaced the odometer bulb in my 06 Pontiac torrent it seriously was one of the easiest bulbs I've ever replaced! The trim around the instrument panel and the top of the steering column trim just pull off and there is four screws 9/32mn that you remove holding the instrument panel on. Remove the screws and instrument panel will just pull out. On the back the bottom bulb is the only one with white trim unscrew that plug the new one in and that's it. Reinstall the screws pop the trim back on and you're good to go. It cost me $7.32 for the bulb.
Thank you. Where did you get the light bulb?
