If you had yours rebuilt- take it back

May have not been rebuilt correctly ,
or other issues that can be corrected

If you installing used transmissions, your
in some other place in time & wasting your time

You talking 2 transmissions, using words such as going out,
not telling us what is really going on there

Reman,Rebuilt,Junk Yard, Back Yard deal?

I don't function well on anything but the long story
& technical details

Mitsubishi montero sport will not run

Make sure you have ALL the wires reconnected. The ECM is a good guess. If you have a Pull a Part salvage yard around you, try to get an ECM. About $40. If not check E-bay. You will not like dealer price.

When I put my 2000 Mitsubishi Montero in drive the drive light doesn't come on

None of the lights work? PRNDL. Or just the D. None come on replace the transmission safety neutral switch also called the range sensor. If just D the diode for it is burnt. Replace the instrument panel or I would just live with it.

2000 MONTERO SPORT SOMETIMES THE TRANSMISSION WONT GO IN REVERSE, NOT ALL THE TIME? \r\n ALSO, STARTS RIGHT UP, WHEN YOU PUT IT IN GEAR DIES UNLESS YOU DRIVE WITH BOTH FEET TO KEEP THE GAS PUSHED DOWN.

Is it a manual shift? If so you may need more clutch fluid. If automatic make sure you have enough brake fluid so you're able to put car in gear. Also make sure you have enough transmission fluid. As for the both feet on the accelerator....sounds like you need a new fuel line. Also make sure there is no water or sediments in gas tank.Try gas treatment to help with that.If you do end up having a transmission problem replacing it will be costly and you might as well just sell her and get another vehicle.Good Luck!

2000 Montero Sport 3.5l V6, automatic transmission. After starting cold vehicle and shifting into drive, transmission does not immediately enage until after several seconds and then "bangs" into...

Well when you are in cold weather and after a high mileage. The Transmission solenoids fails when its cold and they get stuck for a moment and all i can say is that you warm your car for a while before you leave your house and thats good for the engine too and aslo will keep your car running for a long time. Good luck

Find starter on 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

I have a 98 Montero Sport and the starter is located on the bottom left side of the engine. Its a very tight spot but I unscrewed a bracket in which 2 transmission lines were running under the starter and it gave me more room to play with. Ensure to disconnect battery before you begin

My 2000 montero sport has little or no power when driving up hill

First thing I'd do is replace the fuel filter. If the car runs fine on level ground or downhill but struggles uphill, it's usually because a clogged filter isn't allowing enough fuel through to satisfy the engine's demand for enough to keep you at speed going uphill. Try that out - it's an inexpensive part and is usually the cause of your symptoms.

Mitsubishi Montero Sport 2003 3.0 needs head gaskets and valves replaced. How many of each are needed? And what type of valves are needed?

This I believe is a SOHC (12 valve) engine. If in fact new valves are required I would purchase rebuilt heads and use yours for cores (each head will cost @ $250) I have done this job on my 1990 montero over a weekend. Just get the right parts, keep it clean, take your time and be patient.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom

Is it possible to adjust a throttle position sensor on a 2000 montero sport?

when your vehical throws a code and you replace the defective part, you must clear the code or the ecm will still recognize it as an active code.
