1996 VW Passat Repair Manual

I am looking for a cheap or free Service Manual for my 1996 VW Passat is there anything out there?

    I have a 54 1.9TDI Passat Saloon and there is lot of noise coming from the drivers door and it could do with adjusting so it closes tighter.
    How can I do this?

1996 VW Passat, engine will turn over but will not start, check fuses, timing chain, distributor, and distributor. all good, was running fine, turned of engine and then did not start, but turns over just fine

Searching for an owners manual for a 1995 Lincoln Town car Cartier series
Finding owners or shop manuals are hard, you won't find them free on-line and the on-line manuals that the different sites sells aren't always a copy of the original.

I have had some luck finding shop and owners manuals on ebay motors but they aren't cheap, but if they say they are original - most are. The shop manual for my 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII was $55 plus $15 shipping.

"Free" will be a problem. The best place to find a "free Owner's Manual" is to copy one from another Passat owner. You can purchase copies of the owner's manual from a variety of on-line sources, and even on eBay. Chances are that you are not the original owner, otherwise VW of America may be able to help. Unlike General Motors, VW does not offer downloadable copies of their Owner's Manuals from the VW Owners website.
