    have you tested the electric inflation pump? the Ford dealer can run a self test of the system with a hand held Ford diagnostic test tool, the parts are way to expensive to replace by just guessing, spend the money and have the test run.

    When that light comes on, there is a code stored in the system that a technician can retrieve. That code would help in helping you figure out what is wrong.

I would recommend going to strutmasters.com and taking a look at our conversion kits. these convert you from the airbag to a powder coated American made steel coil spring that is guaranteed to last the life of the car. Airbags and compressors are constantly having to be replaced. Also something alot of people don't know is that theses air suspensions are not meant to be in temperatures above 90 Degrees or below 40 Degrees. That is most of the world. The temperature will cause you to replace alot of bags. and typically when your replacing a bag you are going to have to replace the compressor to because the bag had a hole or small crack in it causing the compressor to over work and it will die. I posted the link below so you can take a look

I hope I was of some help

Good Luck!!!

Air bag pump is running, new airbags . rear bags wont air up.

These Lincoln air suspensions are terrible. I have converted many over to coil springs at a fraction of the cost of replacing/repairing the bags. If the rear bags don't inflate, there is a broken air line to the bags or the bags are leaking

Air bags suspension won't inflat. Checked all fuses & air suspension switch. What can the problem be?

Probably failed seal or air bag leaking air. Check again and try to see if this will do the trick. Sometimes pvc line could fail to deliver air to the bag too!

`i have a 2001 ford expedition that has air ride suspension. the air ride suspension has failed and doesn't inflate. this incident has happened before and i had removed the battery and have reconnected the...

Hey I guess this may be a solution but I was having similar problems with my 2002 ford expedition airbag suspensions. My car was riding low one day and the other day it was riding normal. I was going insane so I went to a dealership and they quoted me to replace the airbags plus some other stuff and plus labor, everything about close to $2000.00, not kidding you!. Anyways, I started searching online and I don't know if you have heard of a company called Strutmasters, but they helped me fix all my issues.

Man, I'm telling you, the best thing I've ever done. It cost me way, way less than the dealership. They told me about some conversion kits which eliminates the air bags for good. I couldn't believe this existed out there. My ride is just as good and I don't have to worry about these airbags deflating again.

Their website is www.strutmasters.com,
oh and also just like the rep told me, it was easy to install it as well. What I think its pretty neat is that they have videos on youtube and show you how to do these installations.

Check it out, I am happy I went this route!

1998 Ford Explorer beeping noise in right front dash why?

The Air Bag module will sound the tone generator if it is having a problem turning on the air bag light. Check for a burned out bulb, loss of power to the bulb from the fuse panel, or open circuit between the bulb and the air bag module. Try replacing the airbag light bulb.

Hit a deer and airbags deployed; some front end damage to vehicle; what do I need to do to replace airbags and get them functioning again? (especially with regards to airbag sensor)

the air bags are very costlly, like around 2,000-4,000 eachwith out labor. the sensors are a few hundred also. when you replace the air bags you should replace all of the sensors. very expensive. for that kind of money you could almost get a new van. using junk yard air bags i don't suggest. to risky.

Rear suspension air bags will not inflate

the only real reason I have seen for this problem is the airbags are leaking, if the van has over 100,000 miles this is almost always the reason.

REAR AIR BAG SUSPENION

Hello;
The inflatrion air valves have probably gone bad. You can buy the valves seperate from the air bags but make sure your bags are in good shape. The air valves come (or did) with the new air bags. May be time to replace the rears with new. Hope this helps, please rate me high;

Service air suspension

Your airbags probably have an air leak or are just starting to crack. Go to you tube and type in Suncore hummer suspension air bag replacement. They have a whole how to install that also show your suspension and how it fails

Check air suspension light

The rear airbags can only vent when the eletronic solonoid tell them to or you have a leak in your bag.

But ifs randomly doing it you may have a short somewhere or its just simply time to Replace your bags!
