Where is the pcv valve on the 2005 chevy trail blazer

The PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) Valve? Or the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) Valve. :>D

The PCV valve in a 2011 Chevy Equinox can be found on the back of the engine at the valve cover, it is pretty close to the firewall in this engine compartment. The valve is there to help control and regulate the emissions from Your engine.

positive crankcase valve is located on the back of the valve cover on the right valve cover i believe if your looking at the engine, you will need to remove some hoses to be able to access the pcv valve, here is a diagram to help

Passenger side valve cover,

it should be in the top of the intake manifold, the air cleaner tube goes into the throttle body and there is a little line that runs from the air cleaner tube into the pcv value and is screwed into the intake manifold.

PCV . Positive Crankcase Ventalation Valves are always located in the valve cover pans with a hose attached usually leading to the air cleaner, or some other vacuum source..

Its in the upper intake manifold on passanger side. Inside the manifold. Be sure to put o-ring on pcv or check engine light will come on.

The general location mentioned is correct. However, unlike most PCV valves there is no hose connection to the valve. There is a single bolt that attachs the PCV valve to the valve cover. Loosen the bolt, then remove the PCV valve from the valve cover. It is inserted inside the valve cover. Very different from most PCV valves as far as attachment method to the valve cover.

If you haven't bought the part yet and are planning on replacing it ...i'd go to the auto parts store and ask them for the part location. They are usually glad to do this. I know Advanced Auto Parts does this for me.
