The tire pressure monitor dashboard light came on even though the tire pressure is correct. How can this monitor be reset or turned off? 2002 Lexus SC430 with tire pressure light permanently on (after flat repaired at local shop). Pressures within tirs are normal. There is not a spare tire in the car. The shop that repaired flat said I need to go to Lexus dealer to have computer reset...more than cost of flat repair. Is there anything I can do to reset the light?
There is a reset button for the tpms either just above the accerlator or to the right of the glove box. press it and tah dah....you should be good to go.
Testimonial: "Knowledgeable expert...found the button (but unfortunately did not fix problem--maybe shop messed up a sensor in the tire)"
Try this and it might cost you nothing...Remove the battery negative terminal for about 10 minutes, put it back and let the car idle for about 5 minutes then go for a road test and see what happens...hope it works for you. Let me know if this does the trick.
Cheer.
Go onto your sat nav screen and select maintenace, you reset it there
They might have broken one of your sensors, if your yellow light stays on without making and beeps, there is a malfunction reading the sensor. Hope this helps.
The SC430 tire pressure sensors are sensitive to both higher and lower pressures than are allowed. Make sure your tires are not over-inflated.
Located in the glove box upper left-hand corner, 2004 SC430.
