Lexus sc430 tire pressure monitor

The tire pressure monitor dashboard light came on even though the tire pressure is correct. How can this monitor be reset or turned off? 2002 Lexus SC430 with tire pressure light permanently on (after flat repaired at local shop). Pressures within tirs are normal. There is not a spare tire in the car. The shop that repaired flat said I need to go to Lexus dealer to have computer reset...more than cost of flat repair. Is there anything I can do to reset the light?

There is a reset button for the tpms either just above the accerlator or to the right of the glove box. press it and tah dah....you should be good to go.

Testimonial: "Knowledgeable expert...found the button (but unfortunately did not fix problem--maybe shop messed up a sensor in the tire)"

Thats for switching between summer and winter tires, not for resetting the warning light.

Try this and it might cost you nothing...Remove the battery negative terminal for about 10 minutes, put it back and let the car idle for about 5 minutes then go for a road test and see what happens...hope it works for you. Let me know if this does the trick.
Cheer.

They might have broken one of your sensors, if your yellow light stays on without making and beeps, there is a malfunction reading the sensor. Hope this helps.

The SC430 tire pressure sensors are sensitive to both higher and lower pressures than are allowed. Make sure your tires are not over-inflated.

The tire pressure display is still on my dash even though I put air in my tires. How can I remove it?

If your tire pressures are all ok and the light is still on the dashboard, either one of two things is wrong ( assuming your tire pressure gauge is giving you correct data)

1 - A battery or one of the tire sensors (4) in a tire is mis functioning

2 - Something wrong with car electronic monitoring system.

Check with Hyundai if there is some sort of "reset" that you can perform. On my 2011 Sonata once I correct the pressure the light goes off. U might have to go to the dealer. Just hope your dealer is better than mine.

Lexus tire pressure monitoring system

Hello,

It would help to know what year and model your Lexus is to better assist you. Typically if you haven't done anything to the car or tires, it may be low on air if the message is "low tire", if message is "check system" or "service tpms" then it may be more involved like a bad tire sensor or other system malfunction. Let me know more info and we can go from there.

Thanks,
Luke

2002 Impala - tire pressure low light stays on even though all tires have correct pressure and have reset it countless times

most likely culprit is the tps itself they go bad if air is good all around then usually the sensor goes most go when fix a flat is used it shorts them out when you go to change tire replace the bad one cost anywhere from $ 5 to $ 25 online

Tire pressure monitor light staying on

the dealer will have to do it its a program in the car computer that is set up to monitor tire pressure since you changed the pressure the computer knows the change and is letting you know there is a possible leak.you can have it altered at the dealer only.

Low tire pressure indicator remains on in Sc430

Either your pressure indicator is bad or the tire gauge you used is bad. Don't go by what the air pumps say, use a decent tire gauge.

Lexus ls430 2004 tire pressure indicator

Veve713:
You probably didn't need new tires unless you had some miles on it. Remember that the spare tire also has a pressure monitor as well. It most likely is causing the low tire pressure light on the dash and only needs to be inflated back to what ever your other tires are set to. I had the same problem on my RX and took it back to the dealership where they told me since the spare is exposed to the same elements (it's under the back of the RX - you have to use the tire iron to let the spare down), it will inevidably lose air.

Good luck.

Dashboard light

For Lexus the ! symbol usually is low tire pressure that's all there's sensors in each wheel that report to the car that the pressure is low, also if your wondering how much air to put in the tires you can look by opening up the driver or sometimes the passenger side door and look along the door there's a label that will tell you each tires recommended pressure. Any other questions just ask and id be glad to help you folks, and if you don't mind if you can rate my answer if you get a chance it would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks,
Steve
