Number 39 in the fuse box. indicates emergency flasher. secondly, if the fuse if good, you need to check the relay for the turn signals. the relays are right behind the fuse box. you might have to loosen some covers to get to it.
Open circuit - gauge will read full.Grounded circuit - the gauge will read empty. If it reads empty all the time - then the wire that goes to the sender is broken and/or grounded somewhere along its length to the fuel tank. run a jumper wire from bottom of the fuse box in the spot, all the way to top of sending unit on tank. disconnect old wire at both ends, and then turn on the key and observe guage. if not this, check guage itself for sticking.
If you checked the power to the fuse , relay & pump and no power then it is time to check the cam and crank sensor which will tell the pcm to shut power to fuel system. But first make sure their is no power to the fuse relay and pump. Their is no resistor on the frame rail . You can find the resistance values of the cam and crank sensors and ohm them out . you can also put on a scanner and look at live data to check each one and a scope as well.
Hi pojo_nz,The fuses should be in the same place as my 95 Audi A4,open the drivers door and look at the end of the dash right in front of you, there is a plastic cover, pull it off its just clipped on and you will find the fuses there.
Cheers Dom.
