Need wiring diagram for taillights on 2000 chevy venture van

I bought new circuit board for the two side taillights and new pigtail wiring harness to plug in to it. Problem is the wires on the pigtail are all grey, and the wires from the van are color coded. I need to know what colored wire to put to each of the six wires on the pigtail harness. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and god bless.

How to install a harness for trailer lights on a 1993 honda accord station wagon

The SIMPLE way to do it is...

You can buy replacement taillight bulbs with wiring pigtail wiring hanging out of the side of the bulb. You'd use them to replace your existing taillight bulbs and connect your trailer harness to the pigtail wires. You may need to drill through the taillight housing to get the harness wiring in to the bulbs - if you have to do that, seal it back up around the wiring with RTV silicone.

That's a lot easier than tracking down each wire, probing it to find out what it does, and splicing into it with pinch splices (which aren't very reliable), then periodically replacing the pinch splices that've gone bad and made your trailer lights fail. You can make a pretty good splice to the pigtailed taillight bulbs, and it's really easy to tell what each pigtail does - brake/turn or park light.

No brake or tail lights

check the pigtail connector that attaches to the rear brake circuit coards. Unplug for the circuit board and check the plug for errosion/melting. If this 6 pin connector needs replaced it's pretty easy. I got mine at Amazon for about 30 each and totally solved the problem. AC Delco PT 246 is the part I believe for the 2001 year chevy venture van

Why does the front heater blower fan not come on and the back fan does on a 2004 chevy venture van

They each have there on blower resistor circuit, and GM has been having blower resistor problems for years in all there models. It is located on the frt pass side below the dash in the heater case 2 bolts hold it in just unplug the 4-5 wire connector and use a 5.5mm socket to remove bolts and replace it with a new one if it is burnt out usually shows a black burnt mark on the resistor card.

Oil pressure guage on a 96 chevy truck

sounds like you still have a wire harness problem for the oil pressure sending unit. if you spliced a new pigtail to the wire harness you may still have a bad connection or there is still a damaged wire farther up in the harness.

Tail lights on my 2000 chevy venture arent working. i replaced the multifuncion switch, but it didnt help. any advice on this could help. thanks

The circuit boards are a very common problem on these vans, moisture gets in them and creates a bad connection, check if you have power in the rear light socket and go from there, you often need to replace the circuit board in the rear light.

Where can I get a free download?

your installing an aftermarket cd player in place of factory radio?
it would be best to buy the harness adapters. they plug into the factory harness and will tell you what all the wires are. harness is usually only 10-15 dollars. here is the diagram also.7834529.gifa4b592f.gif
