Sounds like antitheft system is acting up..needs reprogramed maybe..pull the negative cable with the key on....kills everything..then shut the key off..reconnect the negative.. turn the key to run position for a few seconds(resets all factory presets) see if it will start..

Thank you. Your suggestion resolved some of my issues. Now it starts most of the time. The radio still flickers in and out like there is some kind of short or that it is trying to reset itself. Also when I unlock the door with the remote the running board lights use to come on. Now they don't.

SOURCE: Problems with Gearshift 2004 Lincoln Navigator

Turn the key forward a notch then it should come out. If you are turning the key all the way off it enables the accessories (radio etc), locks the key in the ignition and disables the gear shifter.
If thats not the case then there is a button to be depressed so that the key can turn anticlockwise>off another click and the key can be removed.
It'll be one or the other....faulty ignition lock is the only other diagnosis

Here's asite that will explain everything you need to know about airbag systems, airbaglights and resetting the system. Itshows you the location of the components and the procedure for diagnosingand/or resetting airbag light. Not allvehicles need everything replaced. You cancheck to see if your car is listed here. http://www.airbagsolutions.com/ Airbagsolutions.comalso has the fault code charts to tell you what is wrong and how to fix it! Some vehiclemanufacturers let you access and reset systems without a scanner (like Toyota,Lexus, Nissan, Infinity, Honda, Acura, Ford, Lincoln, Mazda & Mercury) andsome require a scan tool. Althoughit's a pay site ($14.95/day), it's a lot cheaper than going to the dealer Here's the page in this site that tells you which cars needa scan tool and which ones can be done without I hope I've helped you http://www.airbagsolutions.com/scanlist.aspx http://www.airbagsolutions.com/light.aspx http://www.airbagsolutions.com/vehicles_list.aspx

2007 lincoln navigator the car sign with a lock on comes on and it won't start

Key ignition key has a chip in the key, if the chip does not match the signature the car is looking for, it will not start - this is an anti-theft feature. The key can be programmed from one of your other keys, or by the dealer.

Interior lights stay on wile i'm driving my 2005 lincoln navigator

Only one bad door switch should do that

The 20 min time out is the GEM or Body Module,
which is normal only because you have a bad switch,
otherwise it goes to sleep when either front door opens

Put radio on & open a door, the radio should go off
& kill the time delay if no issues exist

1999 Lincoln navigator cranks but won't start

Does it only do that when the weather is cold?

If it does, it could be the fuel pressure check valve has a leak. One way to check it is to turn the key to the run position for 5-7 seconds before you start the engine. If it starts, that should be the problem.

If it still doesn't. You might have to reset the fuel pump. You can do this by removing the fuse from the fusebox in the engine compartment (it's a 15 amp fuse. I think it's # 17) With the fuse removed, crank the engine twice but make sure you don't hold it too long as you don't want to drain the battery. Two 3 second cranks should be good.

Put the fuse back in and start the engine. Should start then. Hopefully that solves your problem. I'm having the same issue and that is how I start my truck whenever is doesn't want to start. Seems like it only happens when I haven't started it in a while but seems fine when I start it within 4-5 hour intervals.
