I replace the water pump thermostat, and radiator, but it still get hot when i come to a stop or just idleing, cool down when driving. someone told me to bleed my radiator. but how do you do that
Have you replaced the drive belt(s) and/or checked the tightness of same?
Has this helped? If so I would appreciate a FixYa .. Thanks .. Crayz
Your symptoms are classic to your fanbelt/drivebelt being loose. Sorry that that isn't the "bleeding" procedure you are looking for but here that is ...
Park
the vehicle on level ground, when cold remove coolant filler cap,
start the engine and leave it idle.
Turn heater on full and blower to
max.
When engine reaches operating temperature watch and listen near
coolant filler, keep clear as gurgling and hopefully a boil over
should occur.
Top off with very warm coolant and wait as it may do it
again.
Check
for heat inside vehicle if warm replace coolant cap but keep an eye
on temperature gauge because an Air lock may have moved to the heater core, if so ths proceedure needs to be carried out again from COLD.
And I would appreciate a FixYa rating in exchange for the Inappropriate .. Thanks
Have you been able to successfully bleed your system yet?
