Instrument panel for 2003 Mitsubishi Montero. The shop I used removed panel to send away to get fixed. I drove it today and it shut off after about 20 minutes of use. It jumped easily, however it did not last long. I replaced the battery with a good one and I am wondering if this will occur again. I had the battery checked I removed and it can back good, however it needed a charge. Do Nnt want my wife to get stuck out on the highway.

I have had a similar problem with mine. The repair shop is telling me there is oil seeping into the alternator and shorting it out. I am going to soo if I can put some sort of shielding around it to prevent this.
