Connect iPod to OEM radio for 2001 Honda Accord

How can I connect an iPod directly to the factory radio in my 2001 Honda Accord (6 cd changer, no aux input)

Thanks

  • jeff_woosley Feb 06, 2009

I have no aux input to plug the audio output from the iPod into the radio. i don't want to use any FM modulating device as that degrades the quality.

  • jeff_woosley Feb 06, 2009

I have the Griffin iTrip and it does not work very well. The FM modulating devices have to lock into an FM station and there are issues with static, losing the station and poor quality because it is being transmitted.

Just get the FM transmitter for ipod/MP3 player ( $10-15 in Walmart for example). It will be like an another station in FM at your radio. You can buy even a kit including car charger and fm transmitter in one piece.
Please kindly let me know if you need more info

My Honda accord Sedan car CD Player cannot eject CD .

Before connecting any cables you must set the dip switch box to the position listed for your vehicle. If you set the dip-switches after you have connected cables to the box, you must disconnect and reconnect them for the changer to operate. All 1992-2004 Honda's are compatible with the Neo Changer except the 2003 and 2004 Honda Accord and all Honda Element vehicles. Some radio models require pressing "Seek >" once to start playing after changing CD or after startup. The radios display will not show the proper disc number after disc six. You can use all 10 discs in the magazine, but the readout will be wrong. This is not a technical problem; the car stereo was designed for no more than six discs. *Due to the direct access disc system, you will not be able to directly access discs 7-10. To access these discs you will have to go to the last track on disc 6 and let it play until it loads disc #7. ( you can fast forward the track, but you must let it play the last 5 seconds of the track, for it to change to disc # 7 Switch to the Neo Changer by pressing the "CD" button. To change discs press "Disc -" and "Disc +" To change tracks simply press "Seek <" or "Seek >" S E T T I N G S F O R H O N D A 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 ON OFF OFF ON OFF OFF ON OFF

If I'm for sure I don't think your digit code would be with the vin #. I would check your owners manual or ask a Honda mechanic. Hope this helps!?
