I had the same problem. the fuse box you need is located under the hood. my fuse was blue. if you take your car to autozone, they will check all your fuses for free and replace the correct fuse. you have to pay for you fuse though. its like $5. if it ends up not being a fuse, check to see if your lighter itself is worn out. ask the guys at autozone for there advice if the replacign the bad fuse doesn't work.

If fuse is good on cig lighter in still not working what can it be 2005 grand prix

but still no power to cigarette lighter ? How do you know, did use a voltmeter an test for battery voltage ? Or just pushed in the cig lighter an it doesn't heat up ? How did you check the fuse , just look at it ? They can be bad but look good . See the 2 metal tabs on top of the fuse , you can use a voltmeter an test for battery voltage at both tabs. Does it have battery voltage ? Or the lighter element is bad or the socket it self is ?

There's a starter relay in the fuse box under the hood. Have a friend touch the top while you turn the key. If he doesn't feel a slight "tap" then it's most likely blown. Replace. Cheap.

2005 Sebring cigarette lighter's not working

This could be several issues:

1) bad fuse.

2) something (rodent) damaged a wire. I had this happen to me with spark plug wire.

3) lighter itself has fail. Sometimes the spring that holds the cigarette light down fails to do so.

Cigarette lighters not working

Check for power at fuse. If power is there a break in the wire going to cig lighter is broken. If no power than there is a blown fusible link by battery. Check fuses under hood also

The cigarette lighter and the extra plug in located in the console are not working. I can't find a fuse which says it takes care of either one. I have looked in both fuse boxes.
