SOURCE: 2000 mazda protege does not start

Remove the altenator and take it to your local parts store where they usually have a tester. That's probably the problem.

SOURCE: the belt in my 2000 mazda protege broke this

Unfortunately the belt has to be replaced and the battery has to be charged for the car to run. It's a quick simple job.If your stuck somewhere I'm sure a local friendly shop can bring you a belt and give you a jump.5min.

SOURCE: 2000 Protege: my 2000 mazda protege battery is fully charged but...

How old is your battery? If I am having problems with starting, and my battery is getting close to 5 years, I automatically change it, as I want to have reliable starts. This usually fixes the majority of my problems. If it doesn't, I take it to the shop and have the starter checked.

Mazda protege 2000

Did it start doing this after installing the new battery?
Does it crank slow? If that's the symptom, I don't see how it could be many of the other things you listed. For example: a clogged fuel filter won't cause the starter to turn the motor slowly. Fuel filters rarely are the issue anyway.
If it's cranking fine but not starting when it's hot, start by checking electrical connections, primarily at sensors. Look for loose or corroded connections. Also, make sure the cables are clean and tight at the battery. I've seen some corrosion cause issues. Also check relays and fuses to be seated good and clean. Maybe wiggle them a little to make sure they are seated properly.
Unfortunately, electrical issues can be a pain to sort out.
