I recently replaced the battery and now when i start the van after 10,15 sec of idleing the dash gauges all turn off and the check gauges light comes on,the van still seems to be in perfect operation and all the rest of the dashworks except the spedo,tach,batt.,oil,and temp gauge,it seems like possibly a relay switch. i have checked the fuses and all of them under the dash are fine.
ALWAYS check the body grounds first. Ground to the dash gages could be faulty, dirty, or just not tight enough to make a good connection.

I had the same issue with my dodge caravan and after several attempts by the dealer to fix it, it turned out to be a broken wire. They replaced the relay and it would work for a while and then go blank again. Have the wires checked thoroughly.

there would either be a shorted wire or the computer is malfunctioning. The only way to fix this problem is to have a mechanic put a scanner on your car and test it. AUTOZONE DOES IT FREE other wise it's about $40

unfurtanetely the the board is burned out due to moisture on the wiring, you may have to replace the board but keep in mind that the wiring must be dry.

the usuall problem on these vans is the bcm which is under the dash and is part of the fuse block assembly. take it out and give the local junk yards in your area a call and have them match the numbers. these are problematic systems. it will probably run you anywhere from $75-$150.
