CD player/Navigation system not working

The XM radio and am/fm radio works just fine, however my cd player will not load. It's as if it's been disconnected from the power source. The navigation screen just says "Please check your disk", even while listening to the XM or radio tuner. I cannot control my a/c unit from the screen, or any other function.

I have the same screen message for my Nav system in a 04 Accord. "Please check your disc." I have done that several times but have had

nothing change. And you can't get to radio presets and a/c controls without this working.

Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance.

SOURCE: I have a 2006 Yukon xl Denali with the Bose radio/

generally it would just need to be reset... unhook the battery for about ten minutes and hook it back up. make sure you have the unlock code for the radio FIRST and you know how to enter it.

SOURCE: 2004 honda accord CD player not working

i say trash the old one and buy an aftermarket because if your screen went out like mine and then the cd player doesnt work then just go ahead and just get rid of it.

2006 Buick Rendezvous cd and xm not working but radio works fine

depends on what fuse. the fuse on the back of the stereo or the fuse in the fuse box? if the one in the fuse box it should show you on the cover that you opened to get into the box. it should say stereo. now if your looking for the one on the back of the stereo you will have to take the stereo out and on the backside you will find a fuse or two. good luck

My 2008 honda accord xm radio stopped working.

If it is a built in system, which is sounds like it is. Your XM receiver is not functioning correctly. I believe a replacement XM receiver is covered under your warranty if you have one with your Honda dealership.

99 olds Intrigue factory CD player problem

I am not sure about repairing the unit. Do you have a CD cleaner?
You might check with a reputable auto electronics shop, one that specializes in car audio. They may have an adapter that will allow an aftermarket radio to be controlled from the steering wheel. Rosen makes a nice am/fm/cd/dvd navigation unit that also has XM and iPod inputs. The hard part will be to find supporting interfaces and wiring harnesses to fit a 99.

Can't get navigation and cd player to work

You can purchase the manual from the dealer. You need the disc for the nav system to program it. Another is you may need to have a code to operate the nav. Did you press the mode button to go from radio to cd? Try to detach the negative battery or press the reset button to factory default, this will bring you back to the factory settings. It looks like a small hole on the radio face. You must use a fine point to push it in and reset it. Is a cd stuck inside of the cd slot? Do all your trouble shooting first and you will find your answer......runjoe
