I recently bought a fiat punt and had to replace the fuel pump, now when i try to start the car using jump leads it turns over but doesnt fire, the fuel injector warning light appears on the dash and the engine doesnt appear to be getting any fuel,is it possible that the ecu is not sending the petrol to the engine because of a faulty injector or is it something else?

You say he removed the fuel pump fuse? Do you mean he changed the fuse? The fuel pump can't work without the fuse. Perhaps the fuse is blowing and causing the engine to stall and not restart. Find the fuel pump relay and swap it with another relay of the same type. Make sure the fuel pump fuse is good. If the engine starts, drive it around close to home until you think it's had time to stall out again. If it down'nt stall this time then the relay is bad and needs to be replaced.
hi if the engine wont even turn over then the chances are the starter motor needs replacing, if the engine is turning over and it just wont start then you need to look at things like the fuel pump or fuel pump relay
