Would it be anything else other then to replace the EATC and if not, is Ford the only place I can purchase the EATC. I called around to a couple places (NAPP & AutoZone) and they do not carry the EATC"We had it fixed by ford, since then we are experiencing the following problems, that we did not have before. Is there anything that they forgot to reconnect, came loose, etc. that would cause these problems. The light that lights us the panel where the Park/Drive/Reveres is, - At first when starting the car it does not light up until about a minute later.2. When I start the car in the morning to let it warm up, (20 min) I set the heater to blow on the floor and after about 20 min. the car still is not warm. I checked the floor and do not feel any heat coming out on the floor. I turn to vent and it comes out there. But on the driver side the heat is coming out very little from the vent, on the passenger side vent, it comes out strong. For the next 20 min. the heat still is not coming out on the floor. Then when I arrive at my destination, I tried it again and it now is blowing out on the floor.3. I have automatic locks; I push the button to lock the doors, all doors locked but the driver side. I have the key pad on the out side, I punched in the code to lock the doors and it would not lock the driver side. I had to manually lock the driver side. Is there anything they could have done or forgot to do, to answer why these things are happening now.Thanks in advance for your help.
I looked at your previous post as to the repair you had done and you had blower speed controller replaced. This component is located under the hood on the firewall next to blower motor and only controls the blower fan speeds. So the concerns you have posted here would not be effected by this.
You have described 3 totally different problems here. The problem with your heat is that the engine coolant temp is not reaching the temp that it needs to be. See EATC will keep the fan to the very minimum setting if set to the floor postion until engine coolant temp reaches 122 degrees F. The problem you are describing here is either the engine thermostat is stuck open or you have a restriction in coolant flow to the heater core or possibly the engine cooling fan is stuck on keeping engine to cool.
The problem with your electric door locks is the door lock actuator or the wiring to it inside the drivers door is bad.
The problem with the bulb in the shifter indicator is a loose or corrioded connection to that bulb.

Blower motor speed control module .maybe ! If that is what your taking about . Can't turn blower motor off .
More often than not, the Blower Motor Resistor would be at fault. It controls the speed of the Blower Motor by varying its speed revolutions. The Blower Motor Resistor is located under the hood under the heater hoses. You can purchase one from E-bay, Amazon, or check your local Auto Parts store(try to get the best price). To get an idea of where the Blower Motor Resistor is situated and what it would take to replace it, go to www.youtube.com. Victoria blower motor resistor swap... Watch both videos as they contain two different approaches in replacing the unit.
There is a module on the fire wall of the passenger side engine bay. It's a $20 part. it is just below the heater core hoses that go into the firewall (2 of them, easier access by removing, watch for antifreeze spill) there will be a rectangular plastic piece with a plug coming out of it approximately 3-4 inches wide with 2 screws. use a 7mm (i believe) socket to remove. This is a "BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR" order from ford or online, replace the resistor by unplugging the old one and putting in the new one. Watch for burnt cracked plugs. You may need the plug too, but if you can get around it, just hard wire it directly in place where the pins line up.

Blower Motor Switch Resistor
The heater blower motor switch resistor has the following features:
The assembly is located in the engine compartment on the evaporator housing toward the center of the vehicle.
Three resistor elements are mounted on the resistor board to provide four blower motor speeds.
Depending on the heater blower motor switch position, series resistance is added or bypassed in the A/C blower motor circuit to decrease or increase A/C blower motor speed.
A device to prevent overheating (thermal limiter) will open the resistor coil when the temperature reaches 121°C (250°F) interrupting the blower motor operation in all speeds except HI.
The thermal limiter cannot be reset and is not serviceable.
check the blower relay also check the ground to the heater motor as well and use a jumper wire straight from the battery to the blower motor to make sure it isnt burnt out
replace the blower motor controller. ford part # 19e624.call your local ford parts store to get it. I am a ford technition and this is a common problem but the new part has been revised so it will last a lot longer. 9 times out of 10 this fixes the problem and a new EATC is not needed.
I was afraid you were going to say that, just weird that none of these problems happened until I received the car back from Ford.
