Sounds like the glass tech either didn't clean the area good enough,didn't use a good adhesive,or just hurried to much.You can get the stuff you need at a good parts place(NAPA or Carquest are my favorites for professional products).3M adhesives are typically the best.Use a "piano wire" removal tool to take the glass out.Clean everything down to the bare paint with solvent."Glue in" window glass is usually installed with a urethane adhesive in a caulk gun tube.Read the side of the tube,make sure you have any primer it may call for before taking it home.(The manufacturer's instructions are the best to follow-they want you to like their product's results so you'll buy it again!).This IS a job the average gearhead can handle.Hey-the last "pro" you took it to didn't do it right anyway,so what'll it hurt for you to take a shot at it?

Marisolis, I believe these molding are 2 sided taped on, patients, heat gun on low, firm thin plastic spatula,adhesive remover are required. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

headliner detached?...3M makes a great product to put the material bad on...super 77 adhesive or take to a body shop and have them replace it,,,DO NOT SMOKE WITH THAT 77 ADHESIVE..EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE!!!!!!!!

wd40 works great on alot of glues and adhesives. spray it on, let it set four a minute,start wiping off with soft cloth. wash car with mild soap and water after. hope this works ,let me know.SARG..............

At most auto parts stores, they carry what is called "Rearview mirror adhesive" - It costs about $4 or $5, and comes is a little "blister" package. It is a special two-part adhesive (utilizing a pre-cleaner and a "gluing" agent) that is REQUIRED for installing these mirrors on glass - Super glue will not work for this,... All you will do with superglue is make a mess... - The adhesive isn't terribly hard to use, but it does require a bit of patience, and I'd recommend following the instructions to a "T" for the best results (Temperature, time, etc..). Go to local auto glass shop or auto supply store. Order a new mirror (not expensive). Ask also for the proper adhesive.

Put on some thick gloves (use pliers if needed) and remove the old glass.
Remove old adhesive from the mirror frame.
Apply adhesive to frame
Put new part in place and hold for a few seconds (read adhesive instructions).

That is it.

tv is the wrong adhesive. you must use urethane with a primer. it is available at any QUALITY parts store (NAPA or Carquest comes to mind)

   Using the special tool, place the flat side of the knife against the quarter glass window. Start at the top and work towards the corners cutting to the given maximum depths:
   1. 20 mm

1. Remove the rear quarter window glass.

1. Using a soft brush or vacuum, remove any dirt or foreign material from the pinch weld.

Installation
CAUTION: When installing urethane installed glass parts, the vehicle must not be driven until the urethane adhesive has cured. At temperatures above 21°C (70°F) and relative humidities above 50%, adequate cure time is typically 24 hours. (Refer to Essex drive away chart for the cure times as temperatures and humidity vary.) Inadequate or incorrect curing can adversely affect the retention of the quarter window glass.

1. NOTE: Avoid scratching the pinch weld.
   Trim the remaining urethane adhesive. The urethane adhesive must be smooth and free of cuts and contamination after trimming. Avoid touching the urethane adhesive after preparation.

1. Apply the urethane metal primer to any exposed or damaged metal on the pinch weld.

1. If reinstalling the original rear quarter window glass, remove the excess urethane adhesive.

1. Clean the rear quarter window glass with a non-alcohol based window cleaner.

1. CAUTION: Wipe off the urethane glass prep immediately after each application because it flash dries.
   If installing a new rear quarter window glass, apply urethane glass prep twice around the glass surface to be urethaned.

1. If installing a new rear quarter window glass, apply urethane glass primer to the same area that was prepped in the previous step. Allow 5 minutes to dry.

1. Cut the urethane adhesive applicator tip to specification.

1. Apply a bead of urethane adhesive on top of the existing urethane bead on the pinch weld. Make sure that all gaps in the urethane adhesive are smoothed into one continuous bead.

1. Position the rear quarter window glass to the flange, and press the retaining tabs into the flange to engage.

1. Install the rear quarter window glass.

1. Check the rear quarter window glass installation for air or water leaks through the urethane seal.

1. Install the C-pillar trim panels. For additional information, refer to Section 501-05.
