Cigarette lighter fuse peugeot 406

I have a peugeot 406 hdi estate and i think the cigarette lighter fuse has gone. Cant find the manual, does anyone know which is the fuse for this or have a diagram so i can find out!

The 406 has 2 fuse boxes.

One is just under the steering wheel .. the steering wheel adjustment arm goes through the flap which is held up by 3x 15mm head plastic screw caps (it hinges downwards). I know because I've been into it :-)

The other box is under the bonnet, a 'small black box' that is 'next to' the Battery .. I know the washer pump fuse can be found here (because it's not in the other one) but I only discovered it's existence when I gave up and asked the garage to fix the pump :-)

Normally Inside The Lid Of The Fuse Box Is The Fuse Key
If Not Get A Light And Test Each Fuse To See Which One Is Blown The Lighter Probably Has A 15-20 Amp Fuse

    By Removing Each Fuse You Can Fissualy Se If It Is BlownIt Will Be Discolored And You Will Be Able To See the Break In The Fuse Wire

possibles
1: horn scars car, or abs, niece said. so....
2: horn is bad causing huge overload on he electrics.
3:low car battery, not charging fully. 12.6vdc rested, 13.3 to 15vdc running.
4: gawd forbid, bad ABS. (i dont believe it)

Where is the engine number not code on a peugeot 406 2.0 hdi 2003
it will be stamped on a flat surface of the engine , different makers use different positions, it will be below the head as its the engine block that is numbered just have to clean it off and have a good look around , usually on one of the sides , good searching, or contact Peugeot with the rest of the vehicle details

The cigarette lighter connection no longer works in my Peugeot Estate 406. Now I need it for my new satnav. Any suggestions?
  • There are two fuses that go to the cigarette lighter. Look for the blown one or replace one and then the other just to make sure.
  • In the passenger compartment fuse box look for -
  1. Fuse F1 - 10Amp - ACC+
  2. Fuse F1A - 10Amp - Batt+

My car heating does not work & I need a fuse box diagram
i do not have a diagram for the fuse layout however
looking at your fuse box pull ONE fuse out at a time and check that they are not blown they should have a link in the plastic if there is no link then it is blown most cars have the radio and cigarette lighter linked together and this is normally about 10-15 amps.
there is also a fuse for you heater controls however this normally stops the fan "blower" from operating if your temperature control is electric then the motor that moves the arm to mix cool and hot air flow may be damaged
