SOURCE: cand find the blower resistor on my cadillac

Ok on most cars and trucks its under dash around the heater blower motor, most likely on top of heater box it looks like a piece of thin cardbord shaped like an egg, the bottom half of it sets inside of heater box, and the cardboard part sets on top with 2 screws to hold it in. It will have an electrical plug to it with 4 or 5 wires. It might be hidden behind a couple of relays i'am not sure, but if its got one thats where it will be. I can't tell you what has to be removed to get to it but depending on its location it may just be as simple as taking off glove box door. Hope this helps Good luck. OLD SCHOOL.

How do you remove a blower motor resistor from a 2004 Cadillac deville

No resistor - there is a blower motor control processor attached to the blower motor housing under the dash on the passenger side. You should be able to get at it by removing the kick panel under the dash - just follow the wire harness to the processor connector.

The blower motor speed dropping resistor is located under front passenger side of dash (remove the cover under the dash to see the parts) next to the blower motor

Air conditioning and blowers not working, fuse blows immediatley after changing. there was a clicking noise heard before fuse blew. No display on dash unit. (2000 passat 1.9TDi Sport)

Try unplugging the blower resistor, located under the passenger side, under dash area, put a new fuse in and see if the fuse opens (blows). If it does not blow then unplug the blower located in roughly the same are and plug the resistor back in if it blows then it the resistor if not it's most likely the blower motor.
If the fuse blows when both resistor and the motor is unplugged the you need to unplug the a/c head unit and see if it still blows(open fuse)
Hope this helps

Hi i have a94 deville and the blower stopped working and a funny smell (like something is burning in dash)What could cause this?

It may be blower motor failure,I would suggest you replace the blower motor and also replace the blower resistor. The motor is located under the passenger side of the dash,Remove the plastic cover to access it.The resistor is located on the same side also.

I've got a 88 seville that the defrost motor won't shut off unless i undo the battery ?

If you mean the main heater blower won't shut off till you pull the battery it's probably the main blower resistor. You should be able to find a connector plug to pull (near the blower) till you can fix it instead of pulling your battery off. After I changed my blower resistor all was fine. It was behind the windshield fluid bottle next to the blower housing on my Safari.
Good luck

It is part of your blower motor, which will have to be removed, to replace the resistor. Basically its attached to your blower motor & your connection goes in to it.
