SOURCE: sensor light comes on(2008 Dodge Charger)

if the weather has changed and got cold your tire pressure would have dropped and would be lower. 2 options. 1 is fill ther tire to 30 psi and ride it out (remembering that when it warms up the tire pressure will automatically go up too)
2. Is to run a dry air such as nitrogen which does not change pressure in hot/cold weather.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: Electronic Throttle Control light

I took my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi to a mechanic that works from a garage at his home, recommended by a friend of mine. He removed and cleaned the throttle body and sensor(s?), then reinstalled them, and then disconnected both battery cables and held them together for 2 minutes so that the engine controller could reboot with the factory default settings, then reconnected them. I had bought a can of throttle body cleaner on my way over to his house for about $3.00. He charged me $40.00 for the job. This was done mid-February, about 10 weeks and 2500 miles ago. So far, the problem Has Not happened again, the truck has been running great!

DTC P2106 Throttle actuator control system-forced limited power DETECTION CONDITION
• The PCM monitors the throttle actuator control current when the ignition switch is on. If the control current is less than 8 A or more than 11 A, the PCM determines that the throttle actuator control system is under forced limited power. Diagnostic support note
• This is a continuous monitor (CCM). • The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in the first drive cycle. • PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition. • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available. • The DTC is stored in the PCM memory. POSSIBLE CAUSE
• Throttle actuator malfunction • Connector or terminal malfunction • Open circuit in wiring harness between throttle body terminal A and PCM terminal 1B • Short to power supply in wiring harness between throttle body terminal A and PCM terminal 1B • Short to GND in wiring harness between throttle body terminal A and PCM terminal 1B • Open circuit in wiring harness between throttle body terminal B and PCM terminal 1C • Short to power supply in wiring harness between throttle body terminal B and PCM terminal 1C • Short to GND in wiring harness between throttle body terminal B and PCM terminal 1C • PCM malfunction
and for the other one

SOURCE: electronic throttle control, cruise control

You need to have the codes read. The electronic throttle relies on an APP sensor and a TPS sensor. A problem with either one of these will cause this. Also, the cruise would be affected by this, as there is no cruise servo, it's controlled be the electronic throttle body.

Red lightning bolt on 2008 Dodge Ram 5.7 hemi truck won't start, drove it to the vets came out and nothing...

The lightning bolt on the dash means that there is a problem with the electronic throttle control system in your vehicle. Get a code reader and scan the engine for any logged codes. The light may be on for a glitch and the electronic throttle control system needs to be reset.

To reset the Dodge Ram throttle position sensor(TPS), You need to turn on the ignition without Your foot on the brake, so the engine doesn't start. Then press the accelerator on the floor for 15 seconds. Release the accelerator. Then turn the car off and start the engine and drive.

The electronic throttle control light is on in my dodge magnum and my car is stalled what do I do to fix it?

Your throttle pedal is electronic and not controled by cables anymore. So there is sensor that sense's what postion your throttle body needs to be opened or closed. The sensor probably needs to be replaced.

The whole pedal assembly will have to come out and be replaced as it is all one unit. They are easy to take out. I learned about these at the SRT Track Expereince when the Charger that I was driving stopped having so much go and the ETC light came on. They showed us how to replace them and told us that they have to replace them all the time and keep them in stock due to people mashing the pedal. It is all plastic and you don't have to mash these like the old system.

You can try resetting the ETC as well. Place your car in the run position without starting and depress the gas pedal and release all in 2 seconds (1 down and 1 up). You should hear a confirmation "ding" if done correctly and you have know reset the sensor to know when you have open throttle.

You are still safe to drive your vehicle but you need to get it fixed or you are not going to get good performance.
