Its most likly going to be the cylinoid that is atached to the starter not letting power get to the starter.

2000 Cavalier 2.2: Put in new starter. 2 days & it

The battery and alternator may have been ok.
You have a fuse or fuseable link between the alternator and battery to protect it. If you have battery voltage at the battery post and not at the alternator post, there is a break in that circuit.
If the battery cable goes to the starter, the alternator wire may go from there and that could be where the fuseable link is.
Fuseable links are special thin wires that act like fuses.

When you turn the ignition over to start there is no power coming from the switch to start the truck, The battery is fine the starter doesnt even try to turn over

check your ignition switch. It's on top of your steering column also check the starter relay and the fuseable link under hood on fender looks like a wire but has a tab on it that says fuseable link also the neutral safety switch that stops the car from being started in gear

No crangking....no power on dashbord...

You have a open maxi fuse or a fuseable link you will need to start at the battery terminal and look for a open fuseable link, from there inspect the starter for a open fuseable link, the inspect the engine junction fuse box for any open maxi fuses

I have a 2000 VW Golf and am having problems starting it. I had the starter checked it was fine I was told that the ignition was bad so I replaced it, the car still will not start. Now they are telling me...

will not blame anyone 1st have you checked the black fuse box under the hood?if not, then look for main relay box(black) remove the cover, then look under the cover lid for relay locations. find starter relay.have some one Put their finger on top of the black square starter relay, then you turn your key switch to "on" does the relay that the fingers on click? if so,its'good. you also have what garages call a fuseable link.it's a hard black peice of rubber thats located in between the starter and the battery. but 1ST LETS COVER THE MAIN ISSUES WITH NO START! IS BATTERY FULLY CHARGED?A MUST! WHEN YOUR CAR IS ALL THE WAY IN PARK AND YOU TURN THE KEY TO START,NOTHING AS MUCH AS A CLICK? DID YOU HEAR A CLICK? GO TOWARDS A BAD STARTER CONNECTION,OR BAD STARTER.ARE STARTER BOLTS TIGHT? IS BATTERY TERMINALS TIGHT,THINK I ASKED THIS EARLIER BUT JUST 2 B SURE.

I have no electric when I turn the key on Is there a main fuse for everthing

well, kinda. there are "fuseable links" and relays that power big chunks of the vehicle's electrical needs. no electricity NOwhere? if that's accurate I would focus on battery, cables, and especially connections. use jumper cables to bypass positive and negative cables to test. voltage (use test light) to starter? if you jump the switch wire on the solenoid to the positive post, the starter engages? If you have power between the engine and battery, SOMEthing should be able to come on, if you're sure you're to this point, then focus on fuseable links and relays. if you are a novice you will want to tackle stuff at this level, the smartest thing to do first is get a manual.

Won't crank. No sound from starter.Starter tested ok. Battery new.Dash lights light up.Fuses not blown. 1992 Toyota Camry XLE V6 automatic

Battery cables off the starter ,starter relay and ignition switch. these are the remaining items in the starting system for no crank and no start.
Get Shop manual and do the appropriate testing for each.

2003 windstar no power past the battery ?

I would check with vom voltage at battery terminals and at starter to ground. Is possible could be a fuse or fusable link but I think the positive goes straight to starter and power distribution fuse or fusable link
