How do you fix it if you can't get the door unlocked or open? Seeing as you need the door open to get the door panel off... I have the same exact problem.

The keyless entry works fine on the passenger side and rear hatch but does not lock or unlock the driver side door on my a 2012 RX 350. It has happened twice this month. The last time, it corrected itself, which doesn't seem to be happening this time.

There is lock linkage inside the door panel. many of the parts are plastic and are designed to break if someone attempts to break into your car (I had this happen to my 87 camery) I replaced the green plastic "knuckle" and it fixed it.

I got this from a site called FixYa (don't have URL). It took me a few tries but it worked like a charm.
