Temperature control knob won't turn to heating mode

Search for my prior solution under Nitram2. It's almost always broken wires in a 3-wire harness feeding the knobs. Toyota will skim you close to $1000 for this, claiming that you need to replace the control board. It's an easy half-hour soldering job.

ok I think this could be one of 2 things when you turn your heat on do you hear a clicking noise behind the dash if you do it could possibly be the actuator that opens and closes when you turn the temp knob from hot to cold! Also the other thing that it may possibly be could be that the heater core has gone bad and is not producing any heat to inside the vehicle but I would check the actuator switch first if you have the clicking in your dash

Hi, your engine oil capacity for your 2.8 is 7.8 litres of oil including new filter,when you have done this start car and wait until oil light go's out this will indicate that the oil filter is full with oil,turn off engine and check oil level on dipstick again.

Put a diesel additive in and see if that helps.

Your power steeringpump is already bad. Change it before it causes the rack to spoil or worst of all before it causes an accident.

try checking if the turn off valve needs adjusting stick your head under the hood and get someone to turn the heat setting on and off you can see the valve moving

hi its a fuel pump seal needs replacing ....

turbo must have a problem or remember tro vehicles have turbo lag. . . usually mitsu's turbos start giving power around 2500prm - 3000rpm. .

but usually on older turbo diesel mitsus the turbos are the first to go. . . .

The first knob controls the temperature. Turning it counterclockwise will lower the temperature, clockwise will raise it. Pressing the button will turn on the circulate function (recirculates the air from the cabin).
The second knob controls the fan speed. Counterclockwise will reduce the fan speed, clockwise will increase it. Pressing the button activates the A/C compressor (allows colder temperatures).
The third knob controls the flow direction. Each picture indicates where the flow will go. Pressing the button activates the rear defoggers (in some models, it will also activate the heated side mirrors).
