I was driving and it first popped up on the Dash and said Service ESC soon, followed than by three beeps and it turned off the ESC. Anyone have any ideas on this? I am going to go get the error code checked tonight, but any ideas off the top of anyones head on what the possible soultion would be? I would much appreciate that
This is pretty common and is usually caused by metallic particles stuck to the magnetic encoder on the wheel speed sensor. GM has issued a service bulletin about it.

p0140 is 02 sensor ckt no activity ( bank 1 sensor 2). bank 1 sensor 2 is in back of convertor, it will need replaced it is sending wrong info to pcm.

I had this problem with my 2007 HHR. I drove away with the service engine and the service traction light on. The car was stuttering through the gears. I took it back and they checked it. They disconnect some wires while they change the oil and one was loose. The service engine turned off but the service traction stayed on. We disconnected the battery for 3 minutes and it fixed the problem. Some of those other guys spent up to 300 dollars to fix the problem. Hope it works out for you.
