In most cases there should be more codes.
Code 700 is a general code that means there is a problem with the transmission control module.
You may have to have someone scan the body computer with a scanner to get the other transmission codes. Or the control module may have failed.

Code p0700. how do it fix it?

P0700 is a generic ECM/PCM code stating that there is something wrong with the transmission. To get the actual code for the transmission you will need a real scanner to pull the transmission codes. Basic scanners that you can get from parts stores and/or online only read global codes and data, but not vehicle specific codes.

Your best bet is to take it to an actual automotive shop and ask them to pull the transmission codes.

Error code 0700 aa1 aa2

Hi there:
The DTC P0700 is a Information Code The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) that monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. If any malfunction is detected, the TCM informs the PCM by sending a signal (P0700 code). P0700 means that a code has been set in the TCM.
This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes. So basically, the P0700 code is telling you to check the TCM for a transaxle DTC. The TCM can not turn on the check engine light so it has the PCM do it, which can only be done with a diagnostic scanner. The self retreival method for chryslers with the ignition key will not pull up the specific transmission fault codes in the TCM.

Hope this helps.

Transmision codes p0700 and p2706 dodge durango 04

Both codes (obviously) point to transmission related problems.

DTC P0700 - Transaxle Control System Fault Conditions
The P0700 code is for information only and the next step is to check for transaxle codes in the Transaxle Control Module (TCM). So you'll have to have the dealer or another qualified shop/technician pull the transaxle codes from the TCM and go from there.

DTC P2706 - Shift Solenoid "F"
First check your wiring before you get inside and open the ****** up. Could be loose wiring, if not do the operation and make sure you do a heat test with the solenoid before you replace it.

Hope this helps and just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Car does not run ,I check the code ,it is P0700

Because it is not starting, you should replace the Crankshaft sensor (above the oil filter, back of the engine)-it will cause a P0700-I have a 99 SL2, 178,000 miles

DTC) CODE # P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request)
Translation: Transmission Control Module (TCM) Malfunction or Failure. P0700 Information Code The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. The TCM can not turn on the check engine light so it has the PCM do it. The dealer probably saw the code P0700 and went to the TCM and pulled out the code stored there telling them the Transmission Solenoid Assembly (TSA) is bad. This is a good example of understanding what the codes actually mean. If the manual you looked at said the TCM is bad and to replace the TCM when you see a P0700, then it is wrong.

Error P0700. What is the cause? How to repair it?

P0700 JEEP - Transaxle Control System Malfunction
The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.

Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Driveability problems
- Transaxle shifting problems

Possible causes
- Shorted or open circuit within transmission control module (TCM)
- Failure of transaxle control module

Tech notes: Since the P0700 is just and informative code, check the TCM for more codes to resolve the problem. So you'll have to have the dealer or another qualified shop/technician pull the transaxle codes from the TCM and go from there.

Good luck (remember to rate this answer)

They are related to the valves in the cylinder head causing your exact symptoms. You should contact another dealer or GM customer assistance with this info. Good Luck
