2002 Beetle air conditioning stopped working

I have a 2002 Beetle and air conditioning stopped working. The blower still works, all the lights work. I checked the fuses on the battery, and they were all good. When turning on the a/c I hear the engine working harder, but slightly. Recently we have been hearing a noise almost like a small turbine engine when we had the a/c on. Now, no cold air comes out of the vents. Any ideas?

YOU NEED A SPECALIST TO DO THIS AS YOU CAN BLOW THE CAR APART IF YOU MESS WITH IT , BUT SOUND LIKE YOU HAVE A LEAK OR LOW FULID

Does it have climate control? If so, that's probably a bad blower fan speed controller.

I bought a 2002 beetle 1.9 and it had been wreck and fix. it is an standard transmission, when i put it in gear the windows stop working and the radio stops working and driving down the road the dash...

Heat and Air conditioning and blower doesn't work at all, wondering what could be the possible problem?

could be the fuse (check any fuses labelled with "climate control" "instrument panel" or related) or could be a problem with the blower's motor or wiring to/from it.

add some r12 if still not working check antifreeze level if still full then check the relay fuse for the fan temp blower

Air conditioning is not working at all the blower is not blowing maybe a fuse or the whole system i dont know

Could be a fuse or a relay..
Find the locations of them in your owners manual..

Air fan stopped working. no air conditioning.

It could very well be a fuse. Or maybe a relay. Check those first. If they are good then you might have a bad blower. The only other thing that could cause it to fail would be a bad ac control module or a short in the blowers wiring..
