I just drove 71 miles w/o problem. Parked for 1 hr. then started OK then ( '95 BMW 318i) just stop running maybe 1-2 mins after starting. Cranks/tries to start but doesn't. Have 1/2 tank gas. New starter 6 months ago. Can't push start it either. What you think fuel filter or fuel pump. Got stuck 70 miles from home & it took just about every cent I had to rent a car to get home. Please help ASAP
Check fuel pressure

probaly a fuel pump its common for vehicles to do that the best thing to do next is a fuel pressure check to verifiy its the pump

replace fuse and relay.also check oil pressure switch.it controls fuel pump also. check fuel pump wires and fuel injector fuse .if all is good pcm could be faulty it controls fuel pump on .command circuit

They have either left a wire to the starter unhooked or they have blown a fuse or fuselink

Try a shot of ether, if it fires at all, it is a fuel problem.
