AC was working great. I didn't drive car for a week. Then when I did drive car, I turned on air and nothing happens. Turn on heat and nothing happens. Temp doesn't seem to change when changing temp numbers on AC. Could it be a fuse? compressor? What? When turning on defroster. no air blows on windows.

i am no expert on this type of car but you can try this. first i would see if you got power from the switch. if you can get to them. if no power than i would say it is the switch. but also i would find out if there is a resister for the heater. if there is this could also be the problem. heater resisters chg. the speeds for the heater motor and also make heater motor run. its either located on the heater box or the air evaporator box if it has one.

It is possible that the starer is pulling too much amperage- 1st thing you need to do is find out what if any other consumers are on that circuit, 2nd you need to find out how much amperage is being consumed by the starter. 3rd test you wires most likely if a wire problem it is the heavy hot wire on the starter or the back of the alternator has a loose retaining nut

usually you have a leak in the system low on freon this dual system take more than 2 pound of freon second the blower works only on high you need the blower motor risistor usually it is mounted next to the blower motor

Here are a few suggestions for things to check. Make sure your coolant (antifreeze) is full. Perhaps there is an air bubble trapped on one of the hoses that is preventing hot water from circulating to the heater core. Make sure the thermostat was mounted in the correct direction. Check the heater hoses for crimps that may be restricting water flow to the heater core. You can try removing both of the heater hoses going into the firewall and flushing water through the heater core just to make sure it's not blocked. If you bought this car used and the heater has never worked correctly check to see if the heater core has been bypasses with a hose. This is sometimes done to fix a leaking heater core. It fixes the leak but your heater won't work correctly afterward. Perhaps one of the louvers inside your dashboard is not moving to the correct position to allow airflow over the heater core. The louvers are controlled by electric actuator motors. The problem may also be your DCCV (dual climate control valve). I hope at least one of these suggestions helps you out.

Probably two separate problems.
For the blower motor, it may be that the bearings are getting old and so the motor is getting harder to turn and overheating. A way to check is to take the motor out (it will be tucked in behind the glovebox. Pour a tablespoon of motor oil into the vents next to the shaft and work it back and forth to loosen it up. Then put the motor back in and try it. If I'm right, the motor will work normally again. However, this is only temporary--once the oil gets worn off the bearings in a while it will start quitting again. You should order a replacement before it blows your resistor block or (in the worst case) starts a fire. You can get them online, like from autopartswarehouse.com
