I changed the batteries on my 2001 F350. This set the alarm on my truck and won't let me turn my truck on. I had to disconnect the siren because it was to loud but the lights are still flashing and my truck won't turn on still. As far as i am concern this alarm is not from the factory. Any suggestions to how i can solve my problem

If it is a Ford Factory Alarm it should have key FOBS (remotes). Just press the unlock button 2 times and that should stop it. Alarm systems no matter what brand always have remotes. If you have remotes pressing the unlock should disarm the system 99 times out of 100. If that doesn't work then either the battery in the remote is dead, or the remote is broken. Hope this helps. Ford e150 alarm siren goes off when lights are turned on

try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes so the electrical system reboots itself with a clean start. That might fix it. IU would give it 10 to 15 minutes disconnected before reconnecting and trying it. Further to that i would say take it to the dealer and send the bill to the place that did your oil change

My 2001 accord will start but when I turn it off and go to lock it I can only do it with the key and the alarm and Imm won't set , can you help please

If the key work fine then pop open the back of the key fob and change the battery it could also be a fuse or relay if the radio has been changed then you may have to have to take it in and have it reprogrammed hope this was helpful

My alternater and battery test good on my 01 kia spectra. But, After putting the fully charged battery in my car, it slowlky died in on ly a few blocks drive?

Connect an ammeter in series with the battery positive terminal and battery positive lead. With ALL systems off, including alarm, door lights etc and with doors closed you should have a reading of only 0.03 amps.I'm guessing that yours is higher as it sounds like you have a parasitic voltage drain. If indeed it is higher, then disconnect any alarm system first and check your amps again. Every time you disconnect something, go back and check your amps.Once you get your amp drain back to normal, then you have managed to disconnect the system responsible for the high current drain.
The most likely candidates are always the alarm system, then stereo, then GPS tracker. After that you will have to start pulling more fuses, one by one and letting the vehicle rest for a few minutes after each thing is disconnected before taking a reading.
BTW, if it is the alarm which is drawing a high amp drain, then it is more often than not the alarm siren back up battery which has failed.
Good luck.

2001 f350 won't star unless pluged in

Sounds like it's the controller for the glow plugs, also, if the first glow plug in line from the controller is bad it will effect all the others. I've had this same sitituation, mine turned out to be the controller.

Can't make car alarm go off. had to disconnect battery

Chevy car alarms turn off with ignition and reading the transponder from the key or by turning the key in the driver door to the unlock position. If this does not turn off the alarm it maybe an aftermarket alarm. Is it a horn making noise? or is it a siren making noise? Horn usually is fatcory alarm and siren is usually aftermarket alarm. If it is aftermarket alarm then you just have to find the alrm module and unplug it.

How to turn off the alarm,, Changed the battery now the alarm will not go off on my 2001 XG300.

Do you still have your Key Fob? The siren is impossible to turn off without the Key Fob.
Can you start the car? If working properly, the siren will be accompanied by all the marker lights flashing and the car's ignition being disabled.
If you can still start your car, you may have to disable your siren. NOT A GOOD IDEA!
When the battery was installed, did the fuse on the positive side get damaged? Did any wires get pinched or otherwise shorted against the positive terminal or leads? Check all over that area to make sure all is well.
If you absolutely have to, you can pull the siren relay IF it doesn't disable your ignition too. AGAIN! I DON'T BELIEVE THIS IS A GOOD IDEA, but needs must as the devil drives.
If you disconnect it, get it into the shop as soon as you can. You don't want to be without your anti-theft system for long.
I wish you the best!
