Hi there,
I suppose its a sports mode function where the + enables you to upshift and the - to downshift.
Try using this mode when you are driving as you might like it if you used to drive manual cars before...
Cheers

Here is a video of the removal of the front seats of a Chevy Malibu that is in the same series as your 2005 (this video is applicable for 2004 - 2012 model Chevy Malibu)

If im not mistaken that has a electronic steering which i think is under the dash on the steering column very expensive dealer charged friend of mine 900 dollars to do his.
You don't yourself. The lube change shop or garage can do this (requires special tools or removal of the pan). for a 2005 you're likely in need of a flush. some models can have a dipstick installed, but its not necessary. Unless you have a serious leak of fluid or shifting issues, it's rare to lose fluid. If you are having issues, then start with a flush and inspection BY A REPUTABLE GARAGE. do not use a dealer or transmission shop, they will always find ways to seprate you from your $$$
i think it stands for traction control. most cars with that say ETC which stands for electronic traction control. if you have a manual for the car it should say what it is.
where is this screw located on 2005 Malibu 2.2
