Thanks!! I found it/them. Bought one from
oreillys but it was 5 prong and mine has 4. Taking it back in the morning.
The eec and fuel relay are the same so I pulled one out and the fuelm pump didn't prime so I figure that one is the fuel pump relay.
    Thanks again, Terry N....

I have a 1988 ford f150 and have non power to the fuel pump

Sounds like the relay has gone bad (common problem on these trucks) there is no rebuild so you have to replace it (around $10) located under hood, passenger side, by air cleaner you'll see a bank of little "boxes" the fuel pump is the green one. Just go to your local parts store to get the replacement. You just unplug the old one, and plug in the new one. Do make sure the key is OFF when you do it.

1988 ford f 150 suddenly no power to fuel pumps

Hi Don,
your fuel pump is supplied voltage from the fuel pump relay which is supplied voltage from the EEC power relay ( fuel pump relay-Green Base, EEC power relay has a Brown Base) usually located on the left side(drivers side) of the engine compartment. These relays are supplied voltage from the fuse links at the starter solenoid on the firewall near the Battery, I hope this Helps Don!

Have a 1988 F-150 with a 5.0 liter engine it has been giving some running and then dying static the other day it died for good replaced fuel pump on frame rail and put on a new filter still wont run,...

There may be a fuelpump relay in one of the underhood fuseboxes. You can try some searches for 1988 F150 fusebox diagrams to find the location of the relay. The reset of the inertia sensor (safety switch) was a good try but if the fuel pump relay is bad, there will be nothing to reset because there will be no power. There can also be a crankshaft sensor which needs to generate a signal to tell the fuelpump to run.

Pump relay

The relay is located on the cab on the drivers side. Locate the fuel pump inertia switch up against the firewall.
Check and see if you have a fuel shut off switch in the trunk of your car. It should tell you in your owners manual. you can see if you have power there when you turn your key on. it only powers it up for 4 to 5 seconds

'88 f150 will not start, 0 fuel pressure

I know the ford cars had a trip relay for the fuel pump. In the event of a wreck it shuts the fuel pump down and has to be reset manually. I am unsure if the pickups had the same thing.
