Automatic door locks will not work.

The automatic door locks will not lock the doors when moving. I cannot lock or unlock doors with remote key button. The batteries have been changed in key remote. If the doors are unlocked I can use the key remote to open the sliders and the rear deck lid. If the doors are locked the key remote will not open the sliders or the deck lid. If I disconnect and reconnect the van battery all the remote key functions work for a day or two then they quit working again.

Thank you

You need to take it to the dealer and have them check the bcm for codes.... also have them check to be sure you have the latest software in the bcm.. its possible that you just need a software update... there are several TSB's covering the concern you have..... it can be a very simple fix with software or even a stuck lock switch may need to be replaced... without the proper diagnostic codes being read from the bcm all that can be done is guessing..and that can be expensive...

2012 nissan sentra doors lock by themselves after I get out of car

There are rumors that there are "hidden" features accessible by the dealer. If this is something you dont want, contact your local dealer and ask if that is something they can turn off.

I have a 2004 VW Passat XLS. I tried to lock the doors with the remote and it did not work. I tried to manually lock the car by inserting the key in the door and it will not work. While inside the car I...

This is a wild guess, but it sounds like the switch that controls the door is constantly trying to open the door. It could be the door switch. Try locking the door with the door switch and then hold the lock slightly down to see if it is a mechanical failure in the switch. If not, the remote system may be sending the unlock. You could always pull the fuse for the automatic locks and see if the key will lock/unlock without problem. But then you'd never have remote entry.

Door keys will not insert all the way

if you use the central locking all the time the lockes get clogged you need to spray loads and loads off wd40 or other brands in the key hole to flush out the lockes. and then the pins will move so the key will go in.

Automatic Door Lock/Unlock
The automatic door unlock function is a vehicle personalization feature with the following 3?programmable modes of operation:
1. All: All of the doors will automatically unlock. 2. Driver: The driver's door will automatically unlock. 3. None: The doors will need to be unlocked by a door switch command or by pressing the the lock button on the RKE transmitter. The All or Driver modes may also be programmed as to when the automatic door unlocking will occur.
1. Key Off: The door(s) will unlock when the key is turned off. 2. Shift to Park: The door(s) will unlock when the vehicle is shifted into P (Park). The delay lock function may be enabled or disabled. When the function has been disabled, the doors will only lock by a door switch command or by pressing the the lock button on the RKE transmitter. When enabled, the doors will not lock until five seconds after the last door is closed.

Automatic side door will no longer open with remote or console button in car. Also, both side door's locks will not pop up using all of our 3 remotes (1 door is automatic, 1 is manual). Lastly, the back...

Did these doors quit at the same time or over a period. It seems that the actuators for the locks have gone bad. With the mentioned doors, that's a lot weight for the actuators to unlock and pop open. With the remotes and console not working , that's more reason to think the actuators are the problem.

Auto Door Locks

Automatic door locks on the 2001 Sonata doesn't exist. The doors are locked manually (by the driver) or by using the Keless Remote. To answer your question, YES, there is a separate relay for each function .. this means there is a relay which LOCKS the doors, and there is a separate relay which UNLOCKS the doors. They are located side-by-side on the I/P junction box (I/P = Instrument Panel).
They are both labeled "Lock", but one "UNLOCKS" while the other one 'LOCKS'.
