2003 hyundai tiburon alarm system

Is there any way to turn off the alarm on my hyundai tiburon 2003 gtv6?

  • Anonymous Feb 15, 2009

ok, i found a way to shut the factory alarm off so that it doesnt turn on if the car sits. the key pad doesnt work on unlocking and locking it, but the alarm wont go off if you manually lock and unlock the car, so its good.

The clutch was recently replaced but has been running fine since. It turns over and has spark but won't start.

this is one of them faults, that can only be sorted by the dealer.Although saying that i have managed to by-pass a factory alarm on a 98 escort (petrol) But the newer the vehicle the harder its becoming, soon evan general garages will not be able to repair a car only the dealers as the encrypted software will defeat evan a mossad encrypter.Already cars over the last year are dealer only so this auto place i keep reading about from american postings ,where they tell you the fault codes ?? well forget it as they read faults ----YES----- but they are reading out the wrong codes .This is deliberate ploy by manufacturers so that a general garage is changing the wrong parts so they look like idiots ,its throwing up a fault number ,the next time the scanmaster is plugged in it shows another fault .the freedom of information act thats bandied about in america is useless as manufacturers say its security or safety and thats the end of that ,like a side light builb out and car will only do 30 miles an hour ,only dealer can reset the ECU so the car runs again.More and more cars will get like this so evan changing a builb or the oil is dealer only.buy a 50/60s classic is the only answer

2003 Tiburon GT Remote Key

Seriously don't use the factory alarm system / keyless entry.

While my car was under warranty, the alarm malfunctioned and it wouldn't disarm. The solution was to have the car towed to a dealership and install a new BCM. This would have cost me over $1,000 - and it's not an isolated case.

Don't get a Hyundai key fob. Have an after market alarm / keyless entry installed. It will be cheaper & easier.
