Hi Jose, The knock sensor, is usually located under the intake manifold on the lowest part of the cylinder head. It controls the ignition timing firing point, by adjusting the timing. It is not unusual for the connection to become loose, so check the connection before buying a new part. Regards John

Knock sensor is located under the intake manifold, and there are two of them one for each Bank etc.
at the engine block under the intake manifold ....It takes about four hours good tech time....

The Knock sensor on a 22re is located under the intake manifold on the engine block. to the upper left of the oil filter. With is the passenger side of the engine. I believe it is yellow in color. Not do be confused with the oil pressure sensor which is close by. The knock sensor has a larger electrical connector. Good luck it can be hard to get to.
