All dashboard lights came on then dimmed then the car died.

The first light that came on (less than 24 hours before this incident) was the battery (or voltage? light).

    I have done the alternator, the battery, and the control module. They said this was the fix. But No same problem again the next day. Help

    I changed the alternator and the battery - car started & after 5 minutes the abs light came on the battery light & then all the other lights and then the car died again

Your alternator is not charging correctly and your battery voltage got low thats why all the other lights came on .you need to replace the alternator please rate this answer thank for choosing fixya.

Combination of brake and battery light mean the alternator is not charging. after you wait for a wile the battery recover some power and will run again but as soon the power drop below 9V the engine die. Test the charging system and replace the alternator

2003 HONDA ELEMENT DIES WHILE DRIVING
Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. Maybe the thieves or the repair shop damaged/loosened something. I would start the car and start wiggling/moving wires and connections to try to narrow down where the problem is. Start at the alternator connections, both at the alternator and where the thick wire connects, probably at the power distribution box but it may go straight to the battery; don't recall on that car.

2003 Cavalier. Battery warning light came on
Check for bad connection to the battery. Use a volt meter to check voltage from alternator to the battery, should be 14.5 volts to 15 volts. If you have anything less than that then look for a bad alternator wire from alternator to battery. Also check for a good ground connection to the battery. Do all the testing with everything off inside the car so you will not have a power drain from the system. hope this will help you.

Check belt(s) first then put voltmeter on battery and record voltage while running if you can, even if you have to jump it to get it going. take time to read owners manual & locate any fuses that may be associated with alternator circuits, most likely in power distribution box under hood, and check for one blown. Do you have a 12v test light by chance?

take a volt meter and go to the battery check the voltage before starting the vech . start the vech check voltage at the battery again has it changed. and what i mean is that if your battery voltage 12.0 volts and when when you start the vech the voltage gose down our dose not increase the alt is not working needs to be changed change the belt while your there thanks kdc744

Car died but now starts
Try cleaning the battery cables where they contact the battery. If that doesn't do the trick, most auto parts stores wil ltest your battery for free. Do both first before lookng into the charging system. Alternatively, Place an external battery charger on the battery and charge it up. If that fixes it  then test the charging system.
