How do you change a window regulator

Have to remove the inner door panel,
to see the problem
Most likely a broken window regulator

check wireing in rubber boot in drivers door
or google grand cherokee forums and post there
window regulators are known problems too

if its electric a fuse could be bad or a shortage in the wiring

Forget it. You've got a broken window regulator. Have to replace the entire unit.

The fuse panel is found on the passenger side of the vehicle. Open the passenger side door and you should see a "fuse access door" on the side of the instrument panel/dash just under the vent.

first you need to take the inside mirror off just pops off/ second look for pop outs in the panel for screws/ Then you need to pop out bottom of door then sides then pull up on trim and out/ then disconnect switches take of vapor barrier look inside you will see 2or 3 bolts holding it in take them out have someone hold up glass replace then put it back togehter/ Please rate my response thank you very much

check the wiring between the door and the body on the drivers side....there was a problem with it breaking

You can change the harness from the existing to the new yes . It's not very hard either. No there is no way to use the window in the meantime. If you attempt to force it you will damage the window regulator. I would confirm caution you to be patient installing the harness as the connectos can be a little tricky to undo.

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee the power windows,power seat , door would not lock , and the inside lights would stay one ..i thought it was a fuse problem but no fuses for that ... in the rubber boot between the door and frame ..the was the ground wire was split ... put a **** connector on it everything works great now ....
