For probably a year or more, my pathfinder has been smelling hot after it runs awhile. Happens all year, with or without heat/AC running (although smell is more pronounced when pushing air). Smell is noticeable when driving, but gets much worse when sitting still idling. Can't describe the smell very well. Possibly burning oil. It doesn't use oil so I wouldn't think leak. Doesn't smell sweet, or like burning rubber. Any ideas?

The sweet smell is your engine coolant, check for a leak under the hood, look for green fluid,Have your catalyst checked, for the other problems, and your fuel presure checked,or change the fuel filter.Either of these should help a little.
