2002 Honda Accord Power Window

I have a 2002 Honda Accord that the driver side power window is about 2" down. When you push the power window button the window will go up about 1/2" or down about 1/2" but will not go any further in either direction. Any ideas about what to look for as the potential problem? How do I fix this?

Hi cdwhitehead,
Since its moving a litle up or down this shows that there is power (current) to the motor ,
you will have to remove the door cover and check for any obstruction to the mechanism of the window...its channels and the rollers on the bottom of the door glass is in place or if theres some rust or it may have even rusted ...the base plate which holds the door glass and has the roller slide guide there!
Best thing it to open and examine !
Good -Luck!

I have a 2002 Honda Accord EX 4-dr sedan. The front driver's side power window motor works (you can hear it), and the window will go down, but not back up. You can hear the motor when pushing the button...

Hi, the reason you hear the motor running but the window wont go back up is because the window regulator is bad. you will need to go to a parts store and get a replacement. you can get a replacement at Advance Auto Parts for $72.99. the part number is 741-766.

2005 Honda Accord, all three passenger power windows stopped working. The drivers window works and the window lock is not on. When I try the switch on each of the passenger windows i cvan hear a clicking...

you most likely have a power/ground/switch issue in the drivers door. the power for the other three doors must first travel through the switches in the driver door before it goes to the passengers. hence the reason why when somebody rolls down a passenger window and you push the up button on the driver door the window stops moving. the wires can break inside the rubber boot in the door jam. you can also have an internal problem with the driver door switch unit. you would need a wiring diagram to diagnose this concern.

The drivers side window auto up/down quit

1. Start the car and leave it idle.
2. Hold the window button down all the way, until the window is completely down.
3. Let go and push it down again and hold the window button for 2 to 3 seconds then let go. (You should be able to hear or feel (very faintly) the motor/sensor reset.)
4. Pull up on the window button and roll the window up until it is all the way up, when it is up let go.
5. Pull the button up again for 2 to 3 seconds. (You should be able to hear or feel (very faintly) the motor/sensor reset.)

2 dr honda accord power window problem

I wouls suspect you have either a inoperative window regulator (the frame work for the power glass) or a bad power window motor. More often then not the are sold as a single assembly and are not very hard to replace on this vehice.
