Replace speedo cable mazda bravo - B-Series Mazda Cars & Trucks

check cables and fuse's.....

manual , speedo connection at box not properly connected
auto-- VSS wires not connected

Look for a bad fuse for the cluster first. I'd want to fix the alternator voltage regulator before anything else.

screws onto gearbox,clips onto speedo,big rubber grommet holds it to firewall

cable must have snap replace the cable

if you have clutch fluid check and if you have clutch cable check

This is a classic symptom of a bad speedometer cable. Replace that cable.

Check to see if your speedo is electronic or mechanical, If electronic I recommend replacing the sensor in the rear of the pumpkin, If not and its Mechanical replace the gear in the transmission, check and see if the end that goes into the speedo is warn, cable should be replaced...check to see if the cable end is or should be square and matches the hole in the speedo.

remove your speedo cable if its in ok shape lubercate it with high temp greese if its not in good shape and it may not be replace it before it breaks off in housing
