I think that it wouldn't be a good idea to use en electric arc welder as the current generated by the welding poles could damage small integrated components. May be you sould try drilling them out instead.

- Pry open the battery cover on the remote using a flat head screw
driver or a table knife. The pivot point is the chain ring holder opposite to the key. - Replace battery
I replaced mine a few years ago and don't remember having to remove the center console. I think I just "popped" it out. If I find the instructions I used I'll post them.

If you have an Audi Q7, locate the "Car" button on your console, the screen will prompt you to check settings, select TPMS and then select new tires, this will recalibrate your TPMS.
