Does anyone know how to follow the power lead from the batteries on a 36 volt Ez Go PDS electric golf cart? I get lost when leaving the battery, as the cart was mostly unwired when I bought it. I know it has to go to the key switch on the dash, to the controller, and to the micro switch under the floor mat.............. but not the right order! I am trying to trace down where I lose power, but need to know the right wiring run. Also, where does the wire from the neutral side of the key switch go?
Thanks
Its been a wile but if I remember right it goes from the solenoid under the cart (pass side) to the key switch (the other wire is probably volt meter) then micro switch, green wires from micro switch to controllern. Inspect all spade connections

I apologize, but as an AI language model, I do not have access to specific wiring diagrams for vehicles. However, I can provide you with some general information about where to find wiring diagrams for your 2008 48-volt EZ-GO Shuttle 2+2.
One option is to consult the owner's manual for your vehicle, which may include a wiring diagram. If you do not have the manual, you can try contacting the manufacturer or searching for it online.
Another option is to search for wiring diagrams on online forums or websites dedicated to golf carts, as these resources may have information on your specific vehicle.
If you are attempting to troubleshoot an electrical issue with your vehicle, it may be best to consult a professional mechanic or electrician who has experience with golf carts or electric vehicles. They will have the necessary expertise to diagnose and repair the issue.
You need a volt meter the problem is some ware between the battery and the ignition switch .Check battery grounds all if bat is grounded you should have 6.5 v D.C from B+ to anything on the engine or frame one at a time then test both for 13 v at the same time jump them together .This could be your problem 2 battery's with 1 bad ground .Then start from the other end the ignition switch use jumper leads hook to the switch in start position key turned to black to ground see what you have for voltage drop it should be around 12 volts if you have nothing its the ignition switch if you have less then 12 v its likely a bad ground from one of the battery's or something related to the drive motor

if the wires have been cut but they are still in the harness the the colour of each wire can be paired back up to start with
the rest if any left will be touch and feel what happens
if you didnt check the amperage the battery is going bad it may read 12 volt or 36 volt depending on the wiring but if it will only charge a 3rd of the way then the battery needs to be replaced because the amperage is not there to completely charge so it will lose power do to lack of voltage/amperage. I hope this helps
When you removed the batteries, a certain procedure MUST be followed. Key switch off, switch to tow position and shift lever in reverse. You must wait until the beeper unit sound dies out then remove the wire from the most NEGATIVE cable. Place in Neutral before installing new batteries. There is a specific sequence to putting the batteries in an EZ-GO cart.
Failure to follow this procedure will kill the controller. The Key
switch must be off and the maintenance/tow switch MUST be in the tow
position when connecting the batteries. Any of the above will cause the controller to fail, due to improper discharge of the PRE-Charge capacitors.
No FREE manual site. Some sites have drawings for electric wiring but nothing on the engines. Some dealer sites may be willing to help if you are going to buy parts from them. I have service manuals for all carts, but I am a dealer and they will not let me post as an ad. I am sure that my friends in the industry will be more than willing to help, if you call a local shop.
